SPORTS EQUIPMENT WITH ALTERABLE CHARACTERISTIC
Articles of sports equipment, such as striking implements (e.g., sticks) and wearable articles (e.g., skates, helmets) for playing hockey or other activities, in which at least one of the characteristics (e.g., stiffness) of the articles of sports equipment is adaptable and can be altered during use of the sports equipment, such as by comprising an alterable component coupled to a controller, by comprising an alterable component that is autonomously alterable, and/or by an alterable component that can be altered in response to a command of a remote device.
SKATE WITH ASYMMETRIC TONGUE
A skate including a tongue mounted to a boot of the skate. The tongue has an upper end and a lower end, and a medial edge and a lateral edge, and a longitudinal center axis of the tongue extends between the upper and lower ends and is spaced equidistantly between segments of the medial and lateral edges. The longitudinal center axis divides the tongue into a medial segment and a lateral segment. The medial and lateral segments are asymmetrical about the longitudinal center axis.
Skate for a hockey goalkeeper
A goalie skate for a hockey goalkeeper. The goalie skate may comprise a skate boot for receiving a foot of the hockey goalkeeper, a blade for contacting ice, and a blade holder between the skate boot and the blade. The skate boot comprises an outer shell comprising a synthetic material. The goalie skate may be cowlingless.
SKATE WITH INJECTED BOOT FORM
A boot form for a hockey skate is made of multiple plastic materials having different hardness properties, or different flexural moduli, and is formed via an injection-molding process or another similar process. One or more of the plastic materials may be reinforced with fibers of glass, carbon, aramid, or another stiffening material to strengthen one or more regions of the boot form. For example, pellets of a first plastic material having a flexural modulus of approximately 190 MPa (e.g., a polyamide elastomer block amide) may be injected into a mold to form a softer upper region of the boot form. And pellets of a second plastic having a flexural modulus of approximately 20,000 MPa (e.g., a Nylon 12 with long glass fibers) may be injected into the mold to form a stiffer lower region of the boot form. Additional skate components may then be attached to the boot form.
Roller skate system having a rail and a boot
A boot for a roller skate system has a three-point fastening system for fastening the boot to a rail. The three-point fastening system includes three fastening devices, wherein the first fastening device is arranged in a central position in the heel region of the boot, the second fastening device is arranged on an outer side in the ball region of the boot, and the third fastening device is arranged on an inner side in the ball region of the boot. Skate or other footwear
A skate (e.g., an ice skate) for a skater (e.g., a hockey player). The skate comprises a skate boot for receiving a foot of the skater and a skating device (e.g., a blade and a blade holder) disposed beneath the skate boot to engage a skating surface (e.g., ice). At least part of the skate boot and optionally at least part of one or more other components (e.g., the skating device) may be constructed from one or more materials (e.g., foams) molded by flowing in molding equipment during a molding process (e.g., injection molding or casting). This may allow the skate (or other footwear) to have useful performance characteristics (e.g., reduced weight, proper fit and comfort, etc.) while being more cost-effectively manufactured. SKATE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A skate boot shell including a tridimensional outer sub-shell made of a first material, the outer sub-shell including a first sole portion connected to first heel, ankle and side portions; a tridimensional inner sub-shell received within and connected to the outer sub-shell, an outer surface of the inner sub-shell being complementary to an inner surface of the outer sub-shell, the inner sub-shell being made of a second material different from the first material; and a tridimensional reinforcement sub-shell made of a third material different from the first and second materials and bonded inside at least one of the inner and outer sub-shells.
HARD-SHELL BOOT
A hard-shell boot comprises a boot-liner and an outer-shell having an accommodation-space for accommodating and positioning the boot-liner, the boot-liner has a sole which comprises a first-elastic-sheet and a rear-bottom-sheet on the same level, the rear-bottom-sheet is jointed to a rear side of the first-elastic-sheet; an outer periphery of the sole is extended upward to form an upright-portion which comprises a second-elastic-sheet and a rear-upright-sheet, two ends of a rear side of the second-elastic-sheet are jointed to two ends of a front side of the rear-upright-sheet respectively, an outer periphery of a top portion of the upright-portion is extended upward to form a sleeve-portion, a front end of the sleeve-portion has a third-elastic-sheet; thus, it is capable of being adjusted according to the width and size of the user's foot simultaneously, so as to facilitate the use of users with different foot lengths and sizes.
