PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ANTITUMOUR PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS USING PUSH-PULL BUTADIENES, COMPOUNDS AND USES THEREOF
The present invention reports the obtaining of carbonyl compounds and derivatives, through syntheses with high yield and purity, providing anti-humoral active principles with selective antiproliferative properties and anti-metastatic activity.
The present invention refers to the development of new polyfunctional push-pull butadienes and their O and C-prenylated, benzoylated and iodide derivatives, with high electronic conjugation in the lateral chain. These compounds exhibit high anti-tumor selectivity, causing cell death by apoptosis, also show anti-metastatic and non-mutagenic properties in the experimental studies performed.

BIO-BASED POLYMERS FROM RAW LIGNOCELLULOSIC BIOMASS
Disclosed herein is a bio-based copolymer comprising in polymerized form (i) at least one polymerizable bio-based monomer containing one phenolic hydroxyl group which has been derivatized to provide at least one polymerizable functional group which is an ethylenically unsaturated functional group (such as a [meth]acrylate group), where the precursors of the polymerizable bio-based monomers are derived from raw lignin-containing biomass, and (ii) at least one ion-conducting co-monomer other than the bio-based monomer. Also disclosed herein are binders comprising the bio-based copolymer, electrodes comprising the binder, polymer electrolytes comprising the bio-based copolymer and an electrochemical device comprising an electrode in electrical contact with a polymer electrolyte, wherein at least one of the electrode and the polymer electrolyte comprises the bio-based copolymer.

SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR GENERATION OF HYPERPOLARIZED MATERIALS
A method for preparing an NMR material, comprising generating parahydrogen in gas or liquid form at a first location; transporting the parahydrogen away from the first location; mixing a precursor compound including a metabolite component with a catalyst for hydrogenation; hydrogenating the precursor compound using the parahydrogen; transferring polarization in the precursor compound to a nuclear spin of the metabolite component; cleaving a side arm of the precursor compound in a chemical reaction, with the metabolite molecule being one of the products of the reaction; separating the metabolite molecule from the catalyst for hydrogenation and other products of the reaction; and generating metabolite molecules for use in an MRI scanner by extracting a sample of the metabolite molecule having at least 5% polarization.
