AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
An article of footwear includes an upper assembly having a foot insertion volume. The foot insertion volume includes a proximal part and a lateral part. A first layer and a second layer each have a lateral surface and a medial surface, respectively. The second layer is positioned between the foot insertion volume and the medial surface of the first layer. A sole assembly includes an upper facing surface and a ground contacting surface. The upper facing surface is connected to the proximal part of the upper assembly. A peripheral part of the sole assembly overlaps a proximal part of the first outer layer and/or the second layer. The first outer layer includes a through-going opening extending from the lateral surface and towards the medial surface. A part of the overlapping material of the sole penetrates the opening to bond to the second layer.
Waterproof and breathable shoe
A waterproof and breathable shoe that includes an upper assembly that wraps around a foot insertion region and associated, in its plantar region, with an outsole; the upper assembly has a first portion that is structured like an upper and a second portion, substantially a structural insert, that is structured like an assembly insole for the first portion and is extended at least at the forefoot; the first portion has at least one waterproof portion that is composed at least partly of a waterproof and breathable functional element that has a one piece structure made of polymeric material that is impermeable to water and permeable to water vapor, constituting for the first portion the structural layer of the upper of the waterproof and breathable shoe, at least one functional portion of the functional element having a thickness to give it a penetration resistance of more than approximately 10 N.
PROCESS FOR THERMO-ADHESIVE BONDING OF SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCTS
A process for thermo-adhesive bonding of semi-finished products includes preparing an inner sock, an outer sock and an impermeable membrane provided with a thermo-adhesive disposed on an inner surface and/or an outer surface of the membrane; fitting the inner sock onto a rigid reference shape; fitting the membrane over the inner sock; fitting the outer sock over the membrane; heating the outer sock, the membrane and the inner sock arranged on the rigid reference shape in an oven until at least partial melting of the thermo-adhesive; cooling the outer sock, the membrane and the inner sock arranged on the rigid reference shape until cross-linking of the thermo-adhesive and stable bonding of the membrane to the outer sock and/or the inner sock. Also, exerting a substantially uniform pressure on the outer sock, the membrane and the inner sock disposed on the rigid reference shape during cooling, so as to compact them.
SHOES
The present invention relates to a shoe including an upper, the upper including an instep cover that covers the instep of a foot. The instep cover includes an instep cover body and a tongue. Two or more protrusions that are configured to extend in use from the instep cover body toward the foot are located at least in a region between the MP joint and the talus in a side portion of the instep cover body. The protrusions are made of embroidery. The protrusions have a height of 0.5 mm or more, a width of 2 mm or more, and a length of 2 mm or more. A distance between each pair of the adjacent protrusions is 2 mm or more in part of the region. The shoe of the present invention includes the upper that improves the heat dissipation properties without impairing the contact between the foot and the shoe.
SOFT SHELL BOOTS AND WATERPROOF/BREATHABLE MOISTURE TRANSFER COMPOSITES AND LINER FOR INLINE SKATES, ICE-SKATES, HOCKEY SKATES, SNOWBOARD BOOTS, ALPINE BOOTS, HIKING BOOTS AND THE LIKE
The soft boot and liner include a moisture transfer system that includes an inner fabric layer carefully selected from technically advanced fabrics. A series of layers are provided outside the inner liner including foam material layers, spacer fabrics and breathable membranes, in various orders. Encapsulation technology and waterproofing are used as well. The outer fabric layer is also capable of working with the other layers to promote the transfer of moisture. Frothed foams and flocking with fibers are further characteristics of the present invention. The moisture transfer system is incorporated into a soft boot or skate or as a removable liner for a shell boot. Numerous other modifications and applications are disclosed.
Breathable shoe
A breathable shoe, including an outsole arranged below a structural insert that is at least partially breathable, and below an upper. The outsole is at least partially breathable, including at least one sheet-like breathable element defined by a plurality of granules made of expanded material and having a uniform size, arranged in a substantially ordered manner and between which there are voids that form one or more channels through the breathable element that are permeable to air and/or vapor.
Performance footwear, apparel or medical accessory product for hot, cold, and all-weather conditions, the performance footwear, apparel or medical accessory product comprised of a series of material layers
A performance footwear, apparel or medical accessory product for hot, cold, and all-weather conditions, the performance footwear, apparel or medical accessory product comprised of a series of material layers having: a first layer of a breathable, moisture transfer, antimicrobial inner lining, fabric or nonwoven material or a combination of fabric or nonwoven material; a second layer comprising a breathable, moisture transfer, absorbent, antimicrobial, mechanically bonded, antimicrobial, nonwoven material comprised of shaped, channeled, grooved and lobed synthetic polymer fibers, antimicrobial silver polymer fibers and natural and synthetic, thermal and cooling fibers wherein the fiber combinations naturally provide adjustable thermal regulation; and a third exterior layer comprised of a breathable, antimicrobial woven fabric, knitted fabric, spacer fabric, nonwoven material, leather material or a combination thereof.
Process for manufacturing waterproof and vapor-permeable shoe
A process for manufacturing a waterproof and vapor-permeable shoe is provided. In the process, an adhesive layer is provided on a knitted fabric to form a laminate, and a shoe upper unit is formed from the laminate, and has an adhesive component defining an inner space of the shoe upper unit. A shoe lining member, which is worn on a last, is placed into the shoe upper unit to permit a knitted component of the shoe upper unit to be bonded to the shoe lining member through the adhesive component under a heating treatment.
THERMAL-RESISTANT SHOE COMPONENTS
Provided herein are embodiments of a shoe component. The shoe component may include a toebox, an insole, an adhesive membrane, a thermal-resistant insert, a midsole, and an outsole. The insert may further include a footbed. The footbed may include an upper surface and a bottom surface. The insert may further include an upper laminate on the upper surface of the footbed and a lower laminate on the bottom surface of the footbed.
SHOES WITH WATER-RESISTANT MEMBRANES AND COATING
A shoe may include an upper portion that includes one or more textile (e.g., wool) layers and one or more water-resistant membranes for providing or enhancing water resistance of the shoes. The water-resistant membranes may be positioned between the textile layers to provide or enhance water resistance without affecting the appearance and/or feel of the interior and exterior surfaces of the upper portion. The shoe may include a durable water repellent coating along at least a portion of an exterior surface for water resistance and durability.
