An article of footwear comprising: an upper; a sole assembly comprising a midsole and an outsole; an insole component; a support system, and a securement system. The support system comprises a medial support extending under and along an inner midfoot region of the upper, the medial support including an elongated section that resists stretching in one or more directions and a plurality of stretchable sections positioned along the elongated section, and a lateral support extending under the insole component and over the inner midfoot region of the upper. The securement system comprises (i) a first cable configured to (a) pull the insole component up against a plantar surface of the foot and (b) draw the foot towards the lateral side, and (ii) a second cable configured to (a) adjustably secure the upper around the foot and (b) pull the foot down and back towards the heel.

A material includes a support layer comprising a single layer of woven fabric less than 30 mils thick. The support layer includes a plurality of anatomical supports each having a pair of substantially straight sides and rounded end portions and all of a substantially same size and shape. Each of the plurality of anatomical supports is at least partially disconnected from a remaining portion of the support layer. The support layer has a ratio of elongation to tensile strength (lb/in-width) that is less than 0.9 in at least one direction. The material additionally includes an adhesive layer on said support layer for adhesive attachment of said support layer to the outer skin surface of a user and a removable cover layer on said adhesive layer. The plurality of the anatomical supports in the support layer is attached to an at least partially continuous portion of the removable cover layer.

A foot maneuverability aid device includes a first strap to form a first opening having a first size, the first strap having a first adjustable closure; and a second strap to form a second opening having a second size; a first base of the first strap and a second base of the second strap are integrally connected; and the first size is less than the second size.

An article of footwear including a connecting member is disclosed. The connecting member provides partial decoupling between the upper and the sole structure. The connecting member can include an upper layer and a lower layer that are attached at a central attachment portion.

An article of footwear may include one or more harnesses to restrain a wearer foot from transverse movement within an upper during a rapid sideways maneuver. One harness may be located in a lateral forefoot region. Another harness may be located in medial region and may include a midfoot and/or a hindfoot region.

An article of footwear includes an upper with a heel region that extends posteriorly about the heel, a medial side, and a lateral side. The article of footwear also includes a sole structure. Moreover, the article includes a longitudinal strand that extends along at least one of the medial side and the lateral side. Also, the article includes an underfoot strand that is coupled to the longitudinal strand and that extends across the sole structure to extend between the lateral side and the medial side of the upper. Furthermore, the article includes a closure strand that is coupled to the longitudinal strand. The closure strand is configured to couple to the closure element such that tensioning of the closure element tensions the longitudinal strand, the underfoot strand, and the closure strand to selectively secure the article of footwear to the foot.

An improved article of footwear includes a midsole, an upper, and a support member. The midsole of the footwear contains a forefoot region, a heel region, a middle region. The midsole contains a medial recess and a lateral recess in the sidewall, and a central opening in the bottom surface, where the recesses and the central opening are in fluid communication with one another. The upper of the footwear is disposed on the midsole, but the bottom surface of the upper that is proximate to the central opening, the medial recess, and the lateral recess of the midsole is exposed. A support member is disposed on the bottom surface of the upper proximate to the central opening of the midsole. The support member is configured to extend from the bottom surface of the upper through the central opening of the midsole.

An article of footwear has a sole with a forefoot portion, a midfoot portion, and a heel portion. The sole has a ground-facing side and a foot-facing side opposite the ground-facing side. The article of footwear includes a support system that has one or more rods spaced from the sole and extending longitudinally from the forefoot portion to the heel portion on the foot-facing side. The rod is operatively connected to the sole at the forefoot portion and at the heel portion. A sling is suspended from the rod over the midfoot portion. The rod bends when the sole is flexed to thereby lift the sling away from the sole.

Various implementations include a wearable foot garment that includes a forefoot portion, a midfoot portion, and an ankle portion. The midfoot portion includes two high compression zones and a reduced compression zone between the high compression zones. The first high compression zone is configured for providing compression in a radially inward direction toward the wearer's foot adjacent a proximal end of the wearer's plantar aponeurosis. The second high compression zone is configured for providing compression in a radially inward direction toward the wearer's foot adjacent distal ends of metatarsals of the wearer. The compressive strength in the high compression zones is greater than the compressive strength in the reduced compression zone. In some implementations, the ankle portion and midfoot portion define a heel opening, and the forefoot portion includes a plantar surface area on which an adhesive film is disposed for increasing the friction contact of the forefoot portion.
