Pest Control
Various aspects comprise controlling and/or euthanizing vermin or pests for preventing such vermin or pests from entering into a geographical area or into a building, wherein the device comprises at least one completely or partially uninsulated electrically conducting wire or conductor connected to an electrical current source, providing controlled electrical pulses to said conductor or wire in the form of pulses or pulse trains. The device may be used in a method for controlling the access of pests/vermin to a geographical location, building or property wherein the electrically conducting wire(s) lead(s) an electrical current with an amperage of not less than 0.0001 A. The device and method may be particularly suited for removing/controlling pests/vermin on land.

BIRD PRESENCE INHIBITOR DEVICE AND RESPECTIVE SYSTEM
Device and system for inhibiting the presence of birds composed of a directional and rotating electromagnetic flow generator capable of inhibiting the presence of birds due to the emission of a field that affects the birds, forcing them to change route, without the emission of noise or any risk of suffering and physical damage to these birds. It consists of a converter, first capacitor, additional capacitors, traction spring, magnetic flux carrier cable and connection coil, which may contain, if necessary, one or more radiant sets. Because of the way the converter operates, a process of generating rotating field (SPIN's) occurs, due to the presence of all the elements involved, which are emitted through the capacitors or radiant sets. Such SPIN's are a result of the elements involved, being responsible for keeping birds away from the desired perimeter, as it affects them.

Cavitation barrier for aquatic species
Embodiments of the present invention provide a novel deterrent barrier based on the phenomenon of fluid cavitation. A drive unit comprising a motor and a propeller are configured for inducing cavitation in water. The cavitation takes the form of a rotationally confined vertical column of cavitation bubbles extending from the propeller, and a one-dimensional series of drive units spanning the width of a waterway may provide an effective, environmentally friendly and non-lethal barrier against entry of target fish species.
Barrier system and component thereof
A barrier system is provided, the barrier system comprising a first barrier component comprising: a support member formed from an electrically insulating material and having a first major surface, a second major surface and one or more edges extending between the first and second major surfaces; a first electrical conductor assembly comprising a first conductor member disposed on the first major surface of the support member; a second electrical conductor assembly comprising a second conductor member disposed on the first major surface of the support member, the second conductor member spaced apart and electrically insulated from the first conductor member; each of the first and second electrical conductor assemblies comprising an electrical contact member disposed an edge of the support member; wherein each electrical contact member and the respective edge of the support member are configured to connect with a corresponding electrical contact member and the respective edge of a corresponding second barrier component, with the connection being formed by the movement of the second barrier component relative to the first barrier component in a direction substantially perpendicular to the plane of the first major surface. The barrier system finds particular use in the deterring of animals and the dissipation of accumulations of static electricity.
