FOOTWEAR
A multi-segment sole structure for use in footwear may be constructed of rigid segments positioned to correspond to one or more weight-bearing areas of the foot and flexible segments positioned to correspond to one or more less weight bearing or flexible areas of a foot. The flexibility may be provided by elastomeric materials, living hinges, or mechanical hinges. The sole structure may include a lower support base which may have hollow segments alternating with rigid or flexible supports. The rigid segments of the sole may be supported by rigid supports. The rigid segments may be wood. The conjoined interfaces may be perpendicular to the surface. A rigid segment may overhang a flexible segment or a flexible segment may overhang a rigid segment.

ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR WITH ENGINEERED WOOD
An article of footwear includes an upper and a sole structure that defines a forefoot region, a midfoot region, and a heel region. The sole structure comprises densified wood and includes an upper midsole cushioning member, a lower midsole cushioning member, an outsole coupled with a bottom surface of the lower midsole cushioning member, and a plate positioned between the upper midsole cushioning member and the lower midsole cushioning member.

FOOTWEAR SOLE PLATE WITH FOREFOOT THROUGH HOLE
A sole structure for an article of footwear may have a midsole system that includes a sole plate having a forefoot region and a midfoot region. The sole plate may have a foot-facing surface and a ground-facing surface opposite to the foot-facing surface. The sole plate may define a through hole extending from the foot-facing surface to the ground-facing surface in the forefoot region. The through hole may be closer to a medial edge of the sole plate than to a lateral edge of the sole plate. The sole plate may have ridges extending longitudinally in the midfoot region and in the forefoot region. The ridges may have crests at least some of which may extend non-parallel with one another in a longitudinal direction of the sole plate.

SOLE STRUCTURE FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH UNDULATING SOLE PLATE
A sole structure for an article of footwear comprises a sole plate including a midfoot region and at least one of a forefoot region and a heel region. The sole plate has an undulating profile at a transverse cross-section of the sole plate. The undulating profile includes multiple waves each having a crest and a trough. The sole plate has ridges corresponding with the crest and the trough of each wave and extending longitudinally throughout the midfoot region and the at least one of a forefoot region and a heel region.
