Article of footwear having a sole plate
An article of footwear having a sole structure and an upper, the sole structure includes an outsole with a ground-engaging surface, a first cushioning member disposed between the outsole and the upper in a heel region of the sole structure, a second cushioning member disposed between the outsole and the upper in a forefoot region of the sole structure, and a sole plate having a rear portion and a curved portion that includes an anterior curved portion and a posterior curved portion. Additionally, the anterior curved portion is disposed proximate the second cushioning member, a portion of the posterior curved portion spans between the first cushioning member and the second cushioning member, and the rear portion is disposed between the first cushioning member and the upper. Further, the ground-engaging surface is not continuous along a midfoot region of the article of footwear.
JOINED FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL ASSEMBLY WITH TUNABLE ANISOTROPIC PROPERTIES
An anisotropic composite material assembly comprising a first layer with a tensile modulus different from its compressive modulus and that exhibits variable modulus behavior. The first layer elastically buckle under compressions. A second layer has a tensile modulus substantially the same as its compressive modulus. The first and second layers are joined together, and the assembly is bendable in a first direction with an outer surface of the first layer being in compression and the assembly has a first bending stiffness during bending in the first direction. The assembly is bendable in a second direction opposite the first direction with the outer surface of the first layer being in tension, and the assembly has a second bending stiffness greater than the first bending stiffness during bending in the second direction.
MONOLITHIC CYCLING SHOE SOLE
A monolithic sole for a road cycling shoe with a front cleat and a rear cleat suitable for cooperating with an automatic pedal. The monolithic sole includes, on its bottom face, a front cavity and a rear cavity located respectively in the front and rear of the zone of contact with the pedal and substantially in the middle of the width of the sole. The rear cavity opens onto the inner side of the sole. The front and rear cleats are placed respectively within the front and rear cavities such that they do not project from the sole, thus allowing the user to walk easily without the cleats causing discomfort, unlike conventional road cycling shoes equipped with standard cleats.
PLATE STRUCTURE FOR ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
A plate for an article of footwear includes a first barrier member and a second barrier member attached to the first barrier member to define an interior void between the first barrier member and the second barrier member. In addition, the plate includes a foam member disposed within and completely filling the interior void.
Anti-infective shoe soles
Shoe outsoles having anti-infective properties are provided herein, as are methods and materials for making shoes and shoe outsoles having anti-infective properties.
SOLE STRUCTURE FOR ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
An article of footwear includes an upper and a sole structure coupled with the upper. The sole includes an upper plate that is configured to couple with the upper and a lower plate that is spaced from and pivotably coupled with the upper by a beam. The beam is oriented along a heel-to-toe direction of the article of footwear and is configured to provide a resistive moment to control the rotation between the upper plate and the lower plate. The sole structure further includes a midsole that is configured to surround at least a portion of the beam and to extend between the upper plate and the lower plate to provide a force that resists the rotation between the upper plate and the lower plate.
Foam compositions and uses thereof
Components for articles of footwear and athletic equipment are provided including a foam. A variety of foams and foam components and compositions for forming the foams are provided. In some aspects, the foams and components including the foams can have exceptionally high energy return while also having improved durability and softness. In particular, midsoles including the foams are provided for use in an article of footwear. Methods of making the compositions and foams are provided, as well as methods of making an article of footwear including one of the foam components. In some aspects, the foams and foam components can be made by injection molding or injection molding followed by compression molding.
Sole structure for article of footwear
A sole structure includes a heel region, a forefoot region, and a midfoot region disposed between the heel and forefoot regions. The sole structure also includes a first fluid-filled segment disposed within the forefoot region and includes a first portion extending continuously from a medial side of the sole structure to a lateral side of the sole structure. The sole structure also includes a second fluid-filled segment disposed between the heel region and the first fluid-filled segment and includes a first portion extending continuously between the medial side and the lateral side. The sole structure also includes a third fluid-filled segment disposed between the first fluid-filled segment and the second fluid-filled segment and includes a first portion extending along one of the medial side and the lateral side and a second portion extending from the first portion toward the other one of the medial side and the lateral side.
Medially-located lateral footwear stabilizer
A sole structure for an article of footwear. The sole structure includes at least one support plate located on an underside of a midsole on a medial forefoot side of the midsole and extending from a medial edge of the midsole to at least a longitudinal center line of the midsole, wherein a lateral edge of the plate is located medially of the lateral edge of the midsole. The support plate may contain at least one sipe or groove extending laterally across the midsole to provide flexibility in a forefoot-to-heel direction of the midsole. The support plate may contain at least one rail.
