ANIMAL PROOF HOODED ENCLOSURE SYSTEMS FOR POWER SUBSTATIONS AND METHODS OF MAINTAINING AN ANIMAL PROOF DOMAIN
The invention encompasses a substantially animal-proof barrier that includes (a) two supports that are laterally spaced apart to define a substantially vertical plane there between; (b) fencing material that is attached to each of the supports and spans the defined substantially vertical plane to form a simple barrier that has a top edge, a bottom edge, a front surface and a back surface, wherein the simple barrier divides a domain into a first area and a second area; and (c) a hood having an inner surface, the hood originating from the top edge of the simple barrier. An angle formed by the inner surface of the hood and the front surface of the simple barrier measures about 10 degrees to about 80 degrees, such that a channel having a substantially V-shaped cross section is formed.

LAND ANIMAL TRAP AND BARRIER
A snake snare barrier comprising a first layer of netting and a second layer of netting, the first layer defining a first plurality of through holes of a first size, the second layer defining a second plurality of through holes of a second size, the netting being flexible under its own weight along substantially an entire length and width, the netting being capable of being unrolled along the length and draped across a top of a vertical support, and the netting substantially conforming to a shape of the vertical support under its own weight after being draped thereupon, the first layer having each edge substantially not connected to any edge of the second layer, and each layer has a width that measures between 9 inches and 24 inches.

Netting material with eyelets
A netting material having a length dimension and a width dimension much smaller than the length dimension is formed by threads knitted or woven together. The netting material has a main portion comprising knitted or woven apertures, a reinforced edge portion at or adjacent each longitudinal edge of the netting material comprising a longitudinal row of knitted or woven fastening features, and a reinforced intermediate portion between the reinforced edge portions. The reinforced intermediate portion has a first longitudinal row of knitted or woven fastening features and a corresponding second longitudinal row of knitted or woven fastening features. In use, the netting material is folded so that the first longitudinal row of fastening features and the second longitudinal row of fastening features are brought together to form a double-layered row of fastening features. The double-layered row of fastening features and the row of fastening features of the reinforced edge portions provide three longitudinal attachment locations for securing the netting material to a support structure.

HIGH VOLTAGE WILDLIFE PROTECTION COVER HAVING SKIRTS FOR INCREASING EFFECTIVE SURFACE DISTANCE
For protecting wildlife from high voltage conductors, dielectric covers are used to cover fuse cutouts, bushings, solid-blade disconnects, lightning arrestors, or other high voltage components. To increase a vertical surface distance between the top of the cover and the bottom of the cover, a plurality of protruding skirts are molded into the cover. The cover is formed of two molded halves, which are later affixed together. To prevent water entering the junction between the two halves, one half is formed with a lip that overlaps the edge of the other half. Retaining pins secure the cover in place.
Anti-rat valve and flap therefor
An anti-rat flap member for sewer/draining pipe check is removably attached to the valve body. The valve body defines an interior volume therein which is preferably substantially open and unobstructed (except for the flap member). The flap member acts both as a seal to prevent the back-flow of sewage/drainage water and is normally in a closed position to prevent the passage of rats. The flap member comprises a row of sharp projections attached by known means (such as integrally molded, glued, rivetted or screwed) to the outermost side of the flap member facing the downstream section of the valve. The projections must be at an angle to the surface of the sheet, preferably at an angle which will prevent the rodent from gnawing and biting or even lifting the flap member with their mouth.
