The second insole has a volume substantially similar to the first volume. The second insole adapted for positioning within the shoe if the first insole demonstrates an appropriate fit. The second insole is self-customizable and further adapted to conform to the imprint of the sole of the potential wearer.

An inner sole structure for being mounted inside footwear for engagement by the foot comprises a middle sole part covered by a top part. When the inner sole structure is inside the footwear and engaged by the foot, the longitudinal channel is positioned under the foot of the wearer and is aligned with a longitudinal portion of the foot corresponding to a plantar fascia position of the foot to avoid tension against this foot portion. The inner sole structure comprises a support element for being mounted to an inner sole part of the footwear to be engaged by the foot. The support member is positioned to be engaged by a region of the foot corresponding to a position extending between at least near a fifth metatarsal rear end position of the foot to a heel bone position of the foot for providing stability to the foot for controlled supination.

A removable and adjustable insert for footwear has slots placed in the insole and/or midsole of the shoe to allow access to the arch and/or metatarsal and/or heel regions of the insole and/or midsole. In an embodiment, an insert placed into the arch insert slot that establishes how much the arch protrudes above the remainder of the top surface of the insole. One or more inserts are provided having different thicknesses so that the height of the arch can be varied by the user or at the direction of a third party, such as a doctor or a trainer.
