ACTIVE AGENTS AND METHODS OF THEIR USE FOR THE TREATMENT OF METABOLIC DISORDERS AND NONALCOHOLIC FATTY LIVER DISEASE

Disclosed herein are active agents, compositions containing them, unit dosage forms containing them, and methods of their use, e.g., for treating a metabolic disorder or nonalcoholic fatty liver disease or for modulating a metabolic marker or nonalcoholic fatty liver disease marker.

Composition containing lutein/lutein ester and applications thereof
10647669 · 2020-05-12 · ·

Disclosed in the present invention are a composition containing lutein/lutein ester and applications thereof. Components of the composition containing lutein/lutein ester comprise lutein/lutein ester, -carotene and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The weight ratio of lutein/lutein ester to -carotene is 1:0.1-100. In the present invention, by cooperatively using lutein/lutein ester and -carotene and using auxiliary natural healthy ingredients, the dosage form of an orally disintegrating tablet is prepared. The orally disintegrating tablet is absorbed through the oral cavity, has fast effectiveness and small first-pass effect, reduces damage of gastric acid to lutein/lutein ester, has high bioavailability, and has the characteristics of nutritional and health-care effects, good mouthfeel and fast absorption. By eating the product, visual power can be obviously enhanced, the ocular blood flow is increased, and eye muscle fatigue is alleviated, and accordingly the morbidities of cataract, senile niacula lutea retinae lesion and adolescent myopia are reduced.

MULTIBIOTIC AGENTS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME

Multibiotic agents are disclosed. The multibiotic agents may contain two or more moieties linked through bonds cleavable in vivo. The bonds cleavable in vivo can be ester bonds, amide bonds, azo bonds, glycosidic bonds, carbonate linkers, or carbamate linkers. The moieties can be alcohol cores, amine cores, and/or acyls. Also disclosed are compositions containing multibiotic agents and methods of using the multibiotic agents.

Method for extracting and isolating lutein crystal from vegetable oil resin containing lutein diester

A method for extracting and isolating a lutein crystal from a vegetable oil resin containing a lutein diester, comprises: dissolving lipase into deionized water to form an enzyme solution; dissolving a lutein extract into an alcohol solvent containing the deionized water to form a uniform alcohol solution; adding the enzyme solution to the alcohol solution for performing hydrolysis, and stirring same to obtain a lutein solution; filtering and performing filtration isolation on the lutein solution to obtain a crystalline; re-dissolving the crystalline into a non-polar organic solvent, and using deionized water for washing a water-soluble impurity; recycling and cooling the organic solvent to obtain a recrystallization; and isolating and drying the recrystallization to obtain the lutein crystal. In this method, selectivity is strong, reaction time is short, no waste water is produced, process is environment-friendly and suitable for industrial production, and obtained lutein crystal is high in purity and yield.
