Footwear strobel with bladder having grooved flange and method of manufacturing
A strobel for an article of footwear comprises a polymeric bladder that defines an interior cavity. The polymeric bladder is configured to retain a fluid in the interior cavity. The polymeric bladder has a peripheral flange extending around at least a portion of a perimeter of the interior cavity. The peripheral flange defines a groove extending along the peripheral flange. The polymeric bladder may include a first polymeric sheet bonded to a second polymeric sheet at the peripheral flange and joined to the second polymeric sheet at a plurality of interior welds. Methods of manufacturing a strobel and manufacturing footwear are included.

FOOTWEAR HAVING A SOLE FORMED WITH A CAVITY RECEIVING A HIGHLY VISCOUS GEL
A shoe support structure comprising a hard rubber-like material and a gel material. The rubber-like material is constructed so that it has a change in thickness beginning at the arch, where it slopes down, leveling out at a thickness of about 1¼ inches. This change in thickness creates a frontal recess, leaving a bead of rubber at the outer edge. This cavity holds a thick cushion of about 1¾ inches of highly viscous gel material held in place by the rubber lip and adhered to the elastic material. This creates a cushion when the foot applies weight. The front of the sole and the back of the heel are equal in height, giving the entire surface equal height planes for balance. The two materials are one rubber like, one gel like and slope toward each other at the arch in identical angles.
SHOE INSOLE
An insole is provided. This insole features a front end, a thickness, a top surface, a bottom surface, a heel receiving portion having a first end and a second end, a lateral longitudinal arch support section which has a width, and a medial longitudinal arch support section. Preferably, the medial longitudinal arch support section is made up of a partial spherical cap which has a radius and a height, and the medial longitudinal arch support section runs from the first end of said heel receiving portion to the lateral longitudinal arch support section.

AN INSULATIVE MATERIAL
A material is disclosed herein that may include a plurality of chambers. A wall, a bottom surface, and a top surface may define a chamber. The wall may have a top portion and a bottom portion where the top portion may be adjacent to the top surface, and the bottom portion may be adjacent to the bottom surface. The wall may include an elastic material, and an aerogel powder or an aerogel foam may be disposed within the chamber. This material can be incorporated into clothing and shoes, for example.

BLADDER FOR A FOOTWEAR SOLE STRUCTURE
A sole structure for an article of footwear includes a bladder defining a peripheral chamber and a heel chamber fluidly isolated from the peripheral chamber. The peripheral chamber is configured as an elongated tube, and has a heel portion establishing a rear periphery of the bladder, a lateral arm portion extending from the heel portion and establishing a lateral periphery of the bladder, and a medial arm portion extending from the heel portion and establishing a medial periphery of the bladder. The bladder includes webbing connecting the heel chamber to the peripheral chamber, with the heel chamber disposed between the medial arm portion and the lateral arm portion and forward of the peripheral chamber in a heel region of the bladder. The bladder may include additional forefoot and midfoot chambers having specific shapes.
Direct bottomed article of footwear with a film
An article of footwear has an upper that is direct attached with the sole. The sole has a film extending up sidewalls of the sole to a film edge that is prior to the sidewall and the upper joining. Method of manufacture of the article of footwear includes steps of positioning a film over a mold cavity and then securing the film to the mold. The film is heated and then drawn into the mold cavity under a vacuum. The film forms a liner of the mold cavity. A foam composition is injected into the lined mold cavity. As the foam composition expands, the foam composition interacts with and mechanically engages with the upper that is positioned at the mold cavity to allow for the mechanical engagement that results in the direct attach of the sole to the upper. The film is then trimmed from the sole sidewalls.
