ETHYLENE RECOVERY AND PURIFICATION
A method for recovering ethylene from cracked gas comprises: (a) hydrogenating a composition comprising acetylene and an acetylene extraction solvent to produce a first gaseous hydrocarbon stream and a first liquid stream; (b) contacting the first gaseous hydrocarbon stream with a second acetylene extraction solvent stream in an acetylene scrubber unit to produce a second liquid stream and a gaseous ethylene product stream; (c) contacting the first liquid stream of step (a) with the second liquid stream of step (b) in an ethylene stripper unit to produce a recovered gaseous ethylene stream and a third liquid stream; and (d) providing the recovered gaseous ethylene stream to step (b).
CATALYST FOR SYNTHESIZING AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
A catalyst for synthesizing aromatic hydrocarbons, a preparation method thereof and a method for synthesizing aromatic hydrocarbons by using the catalyst. The catalyst comprises acidic molecular sieve particles and zinc-aluminum composite oxide particles. The catalyst has relatively high selectivity to aromatic hydrocarbons, particularly BTX, stable performance, and a long single-pass life.
MONOLITHIC CATALYST USED FOR CARBON DIOXIDE HYDROGENATION REACTION AND METHOD FOR PREPARING SAME
A monolithic catalyst used for a carbon dioxide hydrogenation reaction and a method for preparing the same. The catalyst comprises a carrier, a coating, and active components. The carrier is a honeycomb ceramic. The coating and the active components are separately applied to honeycomb ceramic hole walls from inside to outside. Moreover, each of the honeycomb ceramic holes is divided into an upper segment and a lower segment, and different active components are separately loaded on the two segments. The method for preparing the monolithic catalyst comprises first applying a coating to a honeycomb ceramic by means of impregnation to obtain a coating-containing carrier, and then applying active components to an upper segment and a lower segment of the coating-containing carrier successively by means of impregnation to obtain the monolithic catalyst.
Propene production method
An integrated process for the production of propene from a mixture of alcohols obtained by IBE (Isopropanol-Butanol-Ethanol) fermentation from at least one renewable source of carbon is disclosed. The process is characterized by dehydration of the alcohols in order to generate ethene, propene and linear butenes, respectively. The olefin mixture is then directed to an isomerization bed in order to generate 2-butene from 1-butene, followed by a metathesis bed to react ethene and 2-butenes to generate additional propene. This process exhibits a yield in carbon moles higher than 90% propene with respect to the alcohols produced in the fermentation step.
Method of forming a catalyst with an ion-modified binder
An alkylation catalyst having a zeolite catalyst component and a binder component providing mechanical support for the zeolite catalyst component is disclosed. The binder component is an ion-modified binder that can include metal ions selected from the group consisting of Co, Mn, Ti, Zr, V, Nb, K, Cs, Ga, B, P, Rb, Ag, Na, Cu, Mg, Fe, Mo, Ce, and combinations thereof. The metal ions reduce the number of acid sites on the zeolite catalyst component. The metal ions can range from 0.1 to 50 wt % based on the total weight of the ion-modified binder. Optionally, the ion-modified binder is present in amounts ranging from 1 to 80 wt % based on the total weight of the catalyst.
HYDRODEOXYGENATION OF LIGNIN TO HYDROCARBONS USING BIMETALLIC CATALYSTS
Bimetallic catalysts for the hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) conversion of lignin into useful hydrocarbons are provided. The catalysts are bifunctional bimetallic ruthenium catalysts Ru-M/X.sup.+Y comprising a metal M such as iron (Fe), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu) or zinc (Zn), zeolite Y and cation X.sup.+ (e.g. H.sup.+) associated with zeolite Y.
Method for producing butadiene and device for producing butadiene
A method for producing butadiene, the method including: a first synthesis step of bringing a mixed gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide into contact with a first catalyst to obtain a primary product containing ethanol as an intermediate; and a second synthesis step of bringing the primary product into contact with a second catalyst to obtain butadiene.
