FOOTWEAR AND FOOTWEAR PRODUCTION PROCESS
20230284727 · 2023-09-14 ·

Footwear and footwear production process comprises steps that include the reuse of raw materials previously used in footwear or other sources. Such a process also provides for the reduction of waste and environmental impact as well as the elimination of water consumption. A footwear, also the object of the present invention, comprises renewable origin, natural, recycled and recyclable components, being a sustainable product, ecologically viable and inserted in the context of Circular Bio Economy. The footwear presents quality standards in accordance with standard technical standards of quality, overcoming challenges related to obtaining comfortable and simultaneously sustainable shoes.

Two-piece insole

An insole comprising a shell component and a chassis component. The shell component comprises support bars that define framing apertures and the chassis component comprises undercut channels that define raised pod sections.

CUSHIONING ARTICLE WITH TENSILE COMPONENT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A CUSHIONING ARTICLE
20230147851 · 2023-05-11 · ·

A cushioning article comprises a first and a second polymeric sheet bonded to one another and enclosing an interior cavity. The polymeric sheets retain a gas in the interior cavity. A tensile component disposed in the interior cavity includes a first tensile layer, a second tensile layer, and a plurality of tethers spanning the interior cavity and connecting the first tensile layer to the second tensile layer. An inwardly-protruding bond joins the first polymeric sheet to the first tensile layer, protrudes inward from the first polymeric sheet toward the second polymeric sheet, and partially traverses the plurality of tethers. The first polymeric sheet is displaced from the first tensile layer adjacent to the inwardly-protruding bond by the gas. A method of manufacturing a cushioning article is disclosed.

THERMOFORMABLE SHAPE-MEMORY DEVICE AND USES THEREOF

The invention relates to a device comprising: a first layer (11) of a thermoformable material that is inelastically deformable in a thermoforming temperature range, a second layer (1) of a viscoelastic material that is elastically deformable in a temperature range including a use temperature range of the device and the thermoforming temperature range, and wherein: the use temperature range is lower than the thermoforming temperature range, the first layer is bonded to the second layer, the thermoformable material is elastically deformable and more rigid than the viscoelastic material in the use temperature range, the thermoformable material is less rigid than the viscoelastic material in the thermoforming temperature range.

Insole for Shoes
20230010983 · 2023-01-12 ·

A non-removable insole, that is an integral part of a shoe or other footwear article, includes at least: a top layer, a middle layer, and a bottom layer. The middle layer of the insole has apertures or cavities, that define several discrete storage chambers within the insole. Each storage chamber stores a mixture of two or more particulate materials. The mixture includes one or more materials selected from Group A, which includes natural sand, synthetic sand, artificial sand, kinetic sand, silica, quartz. The mixture further includes one or more materials selected from Group B, which includes: powdered aluminum, powdered titanium, powdered zinc, powdered magnesia, powdered silver, powdered anti-bacterial agent, powdered metal, powdered talcum, grained cork, grained coal, grained wood.

SOMATOSENSATION AND PROPRIOCEPTOR STIMULATION SURFACE
20230355471 · 2023-11-09 ·

A somatosensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface configured to stimulate rapid-firing nerves in the receptive field of a user's glabrous skin. The somatorsensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface includes a plurality of protuberances disposed thereupon, each protuberance sized and spaced apart appropriately to impress the receptive field when pressed in contact with the glabrous skin of the user. Each protuberance widens from an apex toward a base whereby increased pressure applied to the surface increases an area of contact and stimulation by applying stimulation over a larger area of skin. The protuberances are spaced apart to maximize stimulation of rapid firing nerves while lessening overstimulation. The somatosensation and proprioceptor stimulation surface is rendered in the form of a mat or floor covering and alternatively as an insole for wear in a user's shoes.

FOREFOOT ORTHOTIC DEVICE
20230346584 · 2023-11-02 · ·

A forefoot orthotic device has multiple regions configured so that impact, propulsive or standing forces experienced by the forefoot of the user are accelerated, decelerated, shifted. transferred, or lessened, so as to promote pain reduction or otherwise address or treat conditions of the forefoot. In one implementation, the device includes expanded areas adapted to underlie the first and fifth metatarsal heads and cushion or offload forces therefrom. In still other variations. the device includes a plateau and regions adjacent the plateau and sloping downwardly therefrom, so that the time during which painful regions of the forefoot experience force, such as during gait or standing, is lessened in favor of transferring such forces to adjacent regions which potentially are less in need of treatment or protection from such forces.

MOLD FOR SOCKLINER WITH INTEGRAL SKIRT
20230346078 · 2023-11-02 ·

A sockliner for a shoe may be formed to include an integral fabric skirt. The fabric skirt may remain loose from the sockliner along at least a portion of the periphery of the sockliner. The loose periphery of the fabric skirt may be used to join the sockliner to other shoe components, as in a strobel-type seam.

Footwear Having Sensor System

A shoe has a sensor system operably connected to a communication port. Performance data is collected by the system and can be transferred for further use via the communication port. The shoe may contain an electronic module configured to gather data from the sensors. The module may also transmit the data to an external device for further processing. Users can use the collected data for a variety of different uses or applications.

Puncture resistant material

A method for making puncture resistant material is made by aggressively twisting high modulus continuous filament polypropylene yarns and weaving the twisted yarns into a tight weave. Batting materials are placed adjacent the woven layer (which may comprise one or more individual woven layers) to form a stack and the stack is needlepunched to form a consolidated material. The material is heat treated and calendared and the finished product may be used in applications where puncture resistance is required, such as in a shoe insole material.
