MANUAL AND DYNAMIC SHOE COMFORTNESS ADJUSTMENT METHODS
Disclosed herein are various methods and devices for modifying the comfort and performance characteristics of a shoe. In various embodiments, the devices are soles, insole or outsoles, of a shoe comprising one or more shocks. The shocks may be defined by shock cavities positioned within one or more surfaces of a sole. In some embodiments the shock cavity may be configured to receive one or more shock cavity inserts.
Removable shoe insole
An insole liner for a shoe is disclosed. The liner consists of a wedge shaped member having opposite back and front ends, a top surface and a bottom surface. The liner has a polyurethane base layer, a middle layer made of silicone gel and a top layer made from memory foam. The wedge shaped member has a thickness which tapers from the back end towards the front end. The base layer has a shore hardness which progressively decreases from the back end of the wedge shaped member to the front end of the wedge shaped member and wherein the middle layer has a shore hardness which progressively increases from the back end of the wedge shaped member to the front end of the wedge shaped member. Finally, the bottom surface has a plurality of projections.
Achilles stretching devices and methods performed therewith
Therapeutic devices and methods stretching the Achilles tendon. Each device includes base and wedge portions. The wedge portion has heel and toe ends, inside-foot and outside-foot edges, and an upper surface that includes a planar surface portion that lies in a wedge plane and an arcuate surface portion defined by a projection that extends out of the wedge plane. The wedge plane has a nonuniform elevation relative to the base portion as a result of the wedge portion having a fore-aft taper in the fore-aft direction and a lateral taper in the lateral direction. The fore-aft taper and the lateral taper are sufficient so that placement of a user's foot on the upper surface of the wedge portion causes supination and locking of the foot and enables stretching of the Achilles complex, while the arch of the user's foot is against and supported by the arcuate surface portion.
FOOTWEAR ORNAMENTATION ASSEMBLY, ORNAMENTATION INSERT AND RELATED METHODS
A footwear ornamentation assembly includes at least one insert and a plurality of design members that can be mounted on the insert or a flip-flop for decoration purposes. The at least one insert is releasably affixed on top of a flip-flop sole. The plurality of design members present different appearances. A method for decorating a flip-flop using the flip-flop ornamentation assembly includes selecting the at least one insert from a plurality of inserts, affixing the selected insert to a top of the flip-flop sole, selecting one or more design members from the plurality of design members, and mounting the selected one or more design members to the at least one of the selected insert and the flip-flop.
Orthotic insole for footwear with an attachable angle insert for correcting over pronation or supination of a foot
An orthotic device for insertion into footwear for correcting over pronation or supination of a foot is disclosed herein. The orthotic device may include an insole comprising an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface of the insole may receive and support at least a portion of the foot. The orthotic device also may include a removable angle insert attachable to the lower surface of the insole. The removable angle insert may increase an angle about a side of the insole to correct over pronation or supination of the foot.

An orthotic for a foot having a top side and a bottom side, the bottom side having flexion zone located between the medial and the lateral side of the orthotic at a position corresponding to the posterior metatarsal phalangeal joint of the foot and 25 mm behind; and/or the heel section of the bottom side of the orthotic pitched so that the height of the rear of the orthotic is greater than the innermost section of the heel; and/or the top side having a raised section located at a position corresponding to the medial side of the calcaneus of a foot.
Customizable Component Insole System
This invention provides for individualized adjustment to a user's specific needs through the use of multiple variable size, thickness and rigidity components that can be placed or integrated into an insole. The current invention is an insole that incorporates, but is not limited to: (1) a base layer with various depressions, (2) a metatarsal dome, (3) a first metatarsal head pad, (2) a forefoot wedge to create a pronation moment around the midfoot joint, (3) a heel cushion, (4) a heel lift to raise the heel area of the foot, (5) a rearfoot wedge to increase the supination moments around the subtalar joint, and (6) an arch support of a specific stiffness or with varying stiffness.
ORTHOTIC INSOLE FOR FOOTWEAR WITH AN ATTACHABLE ANGLE INSERT FOR CORRECTING OVER PRONATION OR SUPINATION OF A FOOT
An orthotic device for insertion into footwear for correcting over pronation or supination of a foot is disclosed herein. The orthotic device may include an insole comprising an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface of the insole may receive and support at least a portion of the foot. The orthotic device also may include a removable angle insert attachable to the lower surface of the insole. The removable angle insert may increase an angle about a side of the insole to correct over pronation or supination of the foot.
CORRECTIVE ORTHOPEDIC INSOLE
A corrective orthopedic device aimed at preventing excessive pronation, specifically designed for children between the ages of 3 and 16, as well as for adults with flexible flat feet. It features an array of components including a deep heel cup, a substantially elongated medial arch support, and a variably angled medial wedge extending to the ball of the foot. The wedge comes in different levels of correction, such as 3 mm, 6 mm, or 9 mm, with the intent of fostering proper arch support and encouraging better alignment in the sub-talar and ankle joints, which in turn improves overall lower body joint posture. The extended medial or varus wedge starts from the heel and extends to the first metatarsophalangeal (1st MTP) joint, aligning both the rear, midfoot and proximal forefoot in a corrective position. Additional features include a high medial flange and a full-length cushioned top cover for enhanced comfort.
