METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BIRD CONTROL USING LASER
An example of an apparatus for excluding birds from an enclosure may include a laser projector configured to project one or more laser beams and a controller configured to control an activation, a direction, and/or a pattern of the projection of the one or more laser beams. In various embodiment, the control may be configured to receive a switch signal indicating a state of an entrance of the enclosure and to control the projection of the one or more laser beams using the switch signal.
Wireless notification systems and methods for electronic rodent traps
A remote notification electronic rodent trapping system and method is provided having a plurality of rearming electronic rodent trapping devices configured to wirelessly communicate trap information to a base station that is in communication with a cloud server. When a trap is activated by a rodent trigger it changes from a set state to a kill alert state and initiates a killing cycle. The trap waits a first time period and then sends a notification signal to the base station of trap activation which the base station forwards to the cloud server. The cloud server waits a second predetermined time period before sending a pushed notification to a remote user of the trap's kill alert state. If the trap rearms prior to expiration of the second time period, it alerts the base station which notifies the cloud server. The cloud server updates trap status to the set state and does not send a notification to the user.
Modular device and system for deterring birds
The present disclosure describes a device which is able to detect and deter wildlife. The present solution provides for a modular system which can have various modules received in a module housing and those modules can be replaced without the need for the device to be serviced by the manufacturer or a certified repair technician.

Image processing sensor systems
An image processing sensor system functions as a standalone unit to capture images and process the resulting signals to detect objects or events of interest. The processing significantly improves selectivity and specificity of detection objects and events in a series of motions that may precede a patient who is at elevated risk of falling.
SYSTEM FOR TRAPPING PESTS AND METHOD OF MANAGING SAME
A system for trapping pests includes a central managing unit and a plurality of pest traps in active communication with the central managing unit. Each pest trap includes one or more detachable cartridges, one or more base elements adapted to releasably hold the one or more detachable cartridges, each base element comprises one or more sensors; each of the one or more sensors is configured to sense a presence of a pest in one of the detachable cartridges, a communication unit and a trap controller configured to receive signals from the one or more sensors and send indications to the central managing unit via the communication unit. The central managing unit is configured to: receive from at least one of the plurality of pest traps an indication that a pest is trapped in at least one detachable cartridge and send an alert to a user device based on receipt of the indication.
Method and Apparatus for Automated Animal Trapping
Methods and apparatuses are shown for selectively capturing a targeted animal that are directed to capturing an animal in a capture module having a one way capture mechanism and, using instructions executing in a controller, sensing the animal in an identification module and, responsive thereto, capturing an image of the animal, analyzing the captured image to identify whether the animal is a targeted animal, if the animal is the targeted animal, processing the animal, and releasing the animal. Additional examples involve performing chromatic or pattern analysis on the captured image, using the chromatic or patent analysis results, searching a database for machine recognized animal colors or patterns, generating a probabilistic assessment based on color or pattern of whether the animal in the identification module is the targeted animal, and generating a target determination indication based on the probabilistic assessment based on color or pattern. Processing the animal may include injecting the animal using a syringe.
Aquatic animal passage with counter
A device for counting animal traffic in an aquatic animal passage system includes chutes positioned across the aquatic animal passage system and a sensor positioned to sense an animal moving through or in the aquatic animal passage system. The chutes and the aquatic animal passage system are formed with precast concrete segments and may include a protective liner or coating coupled to their outer surface to protect animals from contacting the outer surface of the precast concrete segments. The sensors may be integrated with the precast concrete segments forming the chutes. Smart concrete segments may be employed as transducers to create an electric field in the chutes, with impedance sensors coupled to the transducers being responsive to changes to the electric field in the chutes caused by passing animals.
Method for poisitioning a residental pest detector and a system for detecting residential pests
A detection system for detecting a residential pest, the detection system may include a housing, a vibration sensor that is configured to sense vibration signals; a processor that is configured to process the vibration signals and detect residential pest activities; a coupler that once connected to a metal-including element of a resident vibrationally couples the metal-including element to the vibration sensor.
PEST TRAP MONITOR
Disclosed are various embodiments for a trap monitor. The trap monitor can detect when a trap is triggered using a magnetic interlock attached to the trap and a magnetic flux sensor. The trap monitors may forward trap events and other information to a central hub for communication to a server. The trap monitors and hub can be configured using infrared transmissions from a mobile device.
