Intracellular delivery vehicle
An intracellular delivery vehicle of which surface is covered by a positive charge, an intracellular delivery complex in which a component or compound desired is loaded in the intracellular delivery vehicle, a temperature-sensitive probe comprising the intracellular delivery complex, and a method for measuring the intracellular temperature by the temperature-sensitive probe are disclosed. The intracellular delivery vehicle is useful on account of its capability of easily delivering the component or compound desired inside the cell without inhibiting cell proliferation.

Further, it relates to a method of in vitro medical imaging, especially of diagnostic imaging, comprising administering said compound to a sample.

Substituted imidazoles for preventing and/or treating cell or tissue necrosis
Inhibitor compounds and agents of Cathepsin C, CELA1, CELA3A and/or structurally related molecules thereto, compositions comprising the same, and uses thereof in the inhibition and/or prevention of cell and/or tissue necrosis are described. The compounds include imidazoles of Formula VI: ##STR00001## wherein G1 is pyrrolidine, pyrazolidine, imidazolidine piperidine, or piperazine and G2 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, heterocycle, or aryl. The pyrrolidine, pyrazolidine, imidazolidine, piperidine, or piperazine of G1 and the alkyl, cycloalkyl, heterocycle, or aryl of G2 are optionally substituted with one or more substituents independently selected from the group consisting of halogen, NO2, CN, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 haloalkyl, NH2, OH, OC1-C6 alkyl, C(O)H, C(O)C1-C6 alkyl, C(O)NH2, C(O)OH, and C(O)OC1-C6 alkyl. Variations applications for the described compounds, and combination therapies are further described as well.
METHODS FOR RNA DETECTION AND QUANTIFICATION
The present invention relates to novel nucleic acid molecules, called aptamers, that bind specifically to a small molecule fluorophore and thereby enhance the fluorescence signal of the fluorophore upon exposure to radiation of suitable wavelength. Molecular complexes formed between the novel fluorophores, novel nucleic acid molecules, and their target molecules are described, and the use of multivalent aptamer constructs as fluorescent sensors for target molecules of interest are also described.

The present invention provides compositions comprising metal complexes, and related methods. In some embodiments, metal complexes of the invention may be useful as catalysts for chemical reactions, including metathesis reactions, wherein the catalysts exhibit enhanced activity and stereoselectivity. In some embodiments, the invention may advantageously provide metal complexes comprising a stereogenic metal atom. Such metal complexes may be useful in enantioselective catalysis.
