The game call includes a first end cap, a second end cap, and a collapsible member coupled to the first end cap and the second end cap wherein the collapsible member can be extended and retracted to simulate a rustling foliage sound. The game call may also include a clip member coupled to the first end cap wherein the clip member may be configured to simulate a branch breaking sound. The game call may still additionally include one or more knob members coupled to the first end cap and/or the second end cap where the one or more knob members may be configured to be scraped against a surface to simulate an antler rubbing sound.

The slate call and striker retention sleeves are configured to permit use of the slate call and the striker without removing the slate call and the striker from their sleeves and without detaching the sleeves from the article.

A tail is removably coupled to the rump and the tail is comprised of a fluid absorbent material. The tail selectively absorbs a liquid scent to emit the scent for attracting the deer. A call unit is coupled to the decoy and the call unit selectively emits an audible sound to attract the deer to the decoy. A remote unit is in wireless electrical communication with the call unit to selectively actuate the call unit.

A jerk rig control device and method are provided for automatically controlling a jerk rig for moving decoys. The device controls the jerk rig by distinguishing target call sounds from one another and from other sounds, and moving the jerk rig in a motion corresponding to the target call sounds. The device includes a microphone that converts different sounds to different sound signals, and a controller that distinguishes between the sound signals to either generate an actuation signal, or to not generate any actuation signal. Optionally, the controller distinguishes between different sound signals to generate different actuation signals that correspond to the different sound signals. An actuator is operable to move one or more hunting decoys in response to the actuation signals.

Disclosed is a container for housing a diaphragm game call, comprising a case having a first member, a second member, and a line of connection therebetween, a fastening means for connecting the first and second members, and at least one moisture-retaining member disposed between the first and second members. The moisture-retaining member is preferably a sponge that can be soaked with an alcohol-free mouthwash, which helps to prevent the latex reed in the diaphragm game call from drying out and requiring replacement. The mouthwash also acts as a sanitizer to prevent the accumulation of germs and bacteria. A D-ring on the exterior of the case provides an attachment location for a lanyard, which allows a user to carry the device around his or her neck, or to remove the lanyard and carry the device in a pocket.

Hunting vest with a game call pouch built into a pocket

A pocket may be attached to a front surface of a hunting vest. The pocket may have a pocket flap that, when released by a zipper, rotates about a lower edge of the pocket flap attached to the front surface of the hunting vest. The pocket flap may rotate between a substantially vertical position when the pocket is closed and a substantially horizontal position when the pocket is open. When the pocket is open and the pocket flap is in the horizontal position, one or more game calls stored in a corresponding one or more game call pouches may be accessed by the hunter with a single hand. Each game call pouch may have a first aperture for inserting and removing the game call and a second different aperture allowing the hunter to pull a striker against the game call to produce a desired sound. A sound passing aperture, opposite the game call pouch, may allow sound from the game call to exit the pocket. A sound passing mesh may cover each sound passing aperture to keep the game call(s) and striker(s) in the pocket, while keeping leaves and dirt out of the pocket.
