Article of footwear incorporating a knitted component having floated portions
An article of footwear may include an upper incorporating a knitted component formed of unitary knit construction. The knitted component includes portions having extended floated portions to distribute forces acting on the knitted component and resist stretching of the knitted component when the article of footwear is worn during a sport or athletic activity.
COMPOSITE MEMBRANE AND METHOD OF MAKING A COMPOSITE MEMBRANE
The present invention relates to a composite membrane for garment accessories or wearable item accessories and a method for making the composite membrane. In particular, the composite membrane includes a first layer having a first side and a second side opposite to one another and with a plurality of through-holes which extend between the first side and the second side; and a first plurality of fibers made of a thermo-conductive material and configured to convey moisture. The through-holes are engaged by first fibers of the plurality of fibers so as to form channels designed to convey a liquid from the first side to the second side.
RUNNING SHOE WITH ADAPTIVE UPPER MATERIAL
Disclosed is a running shoe (1) having a lateral side and a medial side. The running shoe (1) has a heel area (FB), a forefoot area (VB), a midfoot area (MB). The front end of the forefoot area (VB) forms a shoe tip (4) and the rear end of the heel area forms a heel edge (5). The running shoe (1) comprises a shoe sole (3) and an upper (2), the upper (2) having a textile base material. In addition, the running shoe (1) has a group of tension straps with at least one compressing tension strap (11, 12, 13, 14) and a group of pulling straps with at least one compressing pulling strap (15, 16). The group of tension straps is arranged in the heel area (FB) and in the midfoot area (MB) of the running shoe (1), and the group of pulling straps is arranged in the forefoot area (VB). In this case, the at least one tension strap (11, 12, 13, 14) is configured in such a way that it exerts an inwardly directed compression force in the worn state. In addition, the at least one tension strap (11, 12, 13, 14) is arranged in such a way that, in the worn state, it runs along a non-expanding line (LONE—line of non-extension) of the wearer's foot.
Knitted component with raised structure and methods of manufacture
A knitted component including a first knit layer of a first yarn and a second knit layer of a second yarn. The second knit layer and the first knit layer are at least partially coextensive with each other and form a pocket between the first and second knit layers. A third yarn is at least partially positioned within the pocket and between the first and second knit layer. The third yarn is secured to the first knit layer at a first location within the pocket and to the second knit layer at a second location within the pocket. The pocket forms a raised structure when the knitted component is subjected to a stimulus.
Ecological footwear elaborated from recycled plastic fibers and recycled or disposal organic material, product and process
Process for obtaining ecological footwear using recycled or waste organic materials for the production thereof, particularly materials such as sargassum, coffee waste, and agave bagasse and using solvent-free water-based adhesives, therefore friendly to atmosphere. The process includes assembling the footwear with woven fabrics and non-woven polyester fabrics obtained from fibers that are produced with bottle flakes and postindustrial recycled material of the same polymer, in addition to including the thread and laces made with filaments obtained from the same recycled nature, and incorporating the sole and details with a percentage of recycled polyester plastic bottles, sargassum, coffee waste, and pulverized agave gabazo used as an inert load, so the footwear presented has a recycled polyester content, Sargassum, coffee residues and agave gabazo between 5 and 90% in weigh.
Flat weft-knitted upper for sports shoes
Described are uppers for a sports shoe with flat weft-knitted knitwear. The flat weft-knitted knitwear forms a top portion and a bottom portion of the upper. The top portion is formed as tube weft-knitted knitwear such that it is configured to surround a part of a shank of a wearer of the sports shoe when worn. The bottom portion is configured to cover at least a part of a foot of the wearer of the sports shoe when worn.
Sports shoe and method for the manufacture thereof
A shoe, in particular a running shoe, may include an upper and a sole unit. The upper is attached to the sole unit such that in a midfoot region there is a gap between a lower side of the upper and a top side of the sole unit. The gap may extend from a lateral side of the shoe to a medial side of the shoe.
Method for manufacturing waterproof and breathable shoes, and shoe upper structure of waterproof and breathable shoes
A method for manufacturing waterproof and breathable shoes is provided. The method includes subjecting shoe sole materials to plastication and mixing, followed by cutting into pieces to be mold to form a shoe sole; stacking a knitted fabric as an outer layer, a polyurethane layer as a middle layer, and a knitted fabric as an inner layer sequentially into a mold for hot-pressing and shaping to form a shoe upper; and bonding the shoe upper to the shoe sole with an adhesive glue so as to form a shoe. The shoe is made flexible and light as the shoe upper is made up of two layers of knitted fabric bonded to a polyurethane layer. Moreover, the middle layer of the shoe upper includes a wavy structure, which is stretchable and helps improve waterproofness and breathability of the shoe upper.
Shoe having a partially coated upper
Provided is a shoe that includes a sole and an upper extending above the sole. The upper has an outer surface and is made of a base material that is partially covered with a coating material, such that the coating material covers at least 90% but not more than 98% of the outer surface of the upper.
Method of tape embroidery
An article comprised of tape segments embroidered in place is disclosed. One embodiment includes tape segments embroidered to a self-supporting embroidered structure. Another embodiment includes tape segments embroidered together to form an embroidered lattice structure. In one embodiment, some of the tape segments may expand when exposed to heat and may be used to form cushioning regions for the article.
