ADDUCT COMPRISING AT LEAST A METAL SELECTED FROM GOLD, SILVER AND COPPER AND AN ADDUCT OF A CARBON ALLOTROP AND A PYRROLIC COMPOUND
The present invention relates to an adduct comprising metal particles and an adduct between an sp2 carbon allotrope and a pyrrole compound. In particular, the invention relates to an adduct comprising metal nanoparticles (NPs) and hydrophylic adducts between a sp2 carbon allotrope and a pyrrole compound. The metal preferentially copper, silver or gold. Such adduct is preferentially used for anti-bacterial activity.
Light-Emitting Device, Light-Emitting Apparatus, Electronic Device, and Lighting Device
A light-emitting device with low driving voltage and favorable reliability is provided. The light-emitting device includes an electron-injection layer between a cathode and a light-emitting layer. The electron-injection layer is a mixed film of a metal and an organic compound having a function of interacting with the metal as a tridentate or tetradentate ligand, and the metal atom and the organic compound form SOMO.

PROCESS FOR PREPARING AN EPOXIDATION CATALYST
A process for preparing a silver-containing catalyst for the selective oxidation of ethylene to ethylene oxide including the steps of: (a) providing a multimodal support, (b) preparing an impregnation solution comprising a silver component, (c) impregnating, at least once, the multimodal support of step (a) with the silver-containing impregnation solution of step (b) to form an impregnated support; (d) subjecting the impregnated multimodal support from step (c) to a removal means, such as a centrifuge, at least once, for a time sufficient to remove impregnated silver impregnation solution from the multimodal support and to control the amount of silver in the pores of the multimodal support by selectively removing impregnated silver impregnation solution from a set of larger pores in the multimodal support; (e) roasting, at least once, the multimodal support after the step (d); (f) optionally, repeating the impregnation step (c), (g) optionally, repeating the centrifugation step (d), and (h) optionally, repeating the calcination step (e).

Method of preparing metal complexes of formula Z-M, in particular carbene-metal complexes
The present invention relates to an improved method of preparing metal complexes, in particular carbene-metal complexes. The method comprises the step of subjecting a salt of formula Z.sup.+—X.sup.− and a non-ionic metal salt of formula ML.sub.n or subjecting a metallate of formula Z.sup.+ . . . ML.sub.nX.sup.− to a mechanical mixing process in the presence of a base. The method allows to formation of heterocyclic carbene metal complexes such as a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-metal complexes. The invention also relates to the use of metal complexes, in particular carbene-metal complexes such as heterocyclic carbene-metal complexes obtainable by the method according to the present invention as catalysts.
