The flat pattern has a flat upper with a top surface forming an exterior of a dimensionally formed article of footwear and a bottom surface facing an internal cavity of the dimensionally formed article of footwear. The flat pattern also includes a collar liner that is coupled with the flat upper at an ankle opening. The collar liner has an interior surface and an opposite exterior surface. The exterior surface forms an exposed surface of the internal cavity of the dimensionally formed article and the interior surface faces the flat upper bottom surface within the internal cavity of the dimensionally formed article. However, the collar liner external surface faces the flat upper top surface at an ankle opening coupling location.

A shoe lacing system includes a shoelace attachment portion disposed on a tongue of the shoe lacing system between a pair of shoelace receivers, the shoelace attachment portion includes notches disposed on the shoelace attachment portion to receive and couple the shoelace. The shoe lacing system can include a pair of sliding members coupled underneath a pair of shoelace receivers that are adapted to move along a track underneath the pair of sliding members, the ends of each of the loop segments are coupled to either one of the pair of shoelace receivers or one of the pair of sliding members. The shoe lacing system can include shoelace loops that are tensioned by pulling each of the shoelace loops and crossing and coupling each of the shoelace loops to notches disposed outside of each of the pair of shoelace outlets. Additionally, a shoe lacing kit is provided that incudes at least one shoelace lacing system component, and one or more pads having piercing pins protruding from a side thereof, the one or more pads capable of securing the at lest one shoelace lacing system component to a portion of a shoe. Yet another aspect of the invention relates to a shoe lacing device, comprising a first portion and a second portion hingedly attached to the first portion, the second portion including a hook or an opening.

The knitted component includes a monofilament knit element formed by knitting with a monofilament strand. The monofilament knit element is formed of unitary knit construction with the remaining portions of the knitted component, including peripheral portions that are knit using a natural or synthetic twisted fiber yarn. An inlaid tensile element can extend through the knitted component, including portions of the monofilament knit element. The monofilament knit element may be knitted with a monofilament strand according to a variety of knit structures.

A strobel for an article of footwear comprises a polymeric bladder that defines an interior cavity. The polymeric bladder is configured to retain a fluid in the interior cavity. The polymeric bladder has a peripheral flange extending around at least a portion of a perimeter of the interior cavity. The peripheral flange defines a groove extending along the peripheral flange. The polymeric bladder may include a first polymeric sheet bonded to a second polymeric sheet at the peripheral flange and joined to the second polymeric sheet at a plurality of interior welds. Methods of manufacturing a strobel and manufacturing footwear are included.

Ribbon sections are connected at nodes. Between nodes portions of ribbon act like links joining the nodes. The links can be arranged in various geometries, including a rectangular grid and a triaxial grid. The ribbon structure may extend the entire length of the article of footwear, and may extend through a forefoot, midfoot and heel.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SPRAY-ON FOOTWEAR

A method is provided for making footwear utilizing a spray-on material. The method can include spraying a spray-on fabric onto surfaces of a three dimensional last. The last can be produced using additive manufacturing techniques, such as 3D printing, based on data corresponding to dimensions and contours of a consumer's foot, and/or preselected aesthetic footwear designs. The spray-on fabric is sprayed onto the surfaces of the last and allowed to cure to form a flexible, non-woven fabric upper. The upper can be removed from the last and turned inside out. With the upper turned inside out, a sole can be joined to the fabric upper to form the footwear.
