Shoes
A shoe includes a sole, a shoe upper attached to the sole, and a string member disposed at the sole and the shoe upper such that the string member extends over an area from a forefoot to a hindfoot of a foot, the string member being movable relative to the sole and the shoe upper. The string member is configured such that when the foot is bent at metatarsophalangeal joints and an MP area of the sole is bent and warped in a vertical direction and stretched, a second extension portion is pulled toward a front portion by bending of a first extension portion.
SHOE CONSTRUCTIONS HAVING UPPER ASSEMBLIES WITH INDEPENDENTLY MOVABLE BOOTIES AND DECOUPLED SOLE ASSEMBLIES
Shoe constructions having upper assemblies with independent booties and/or decoupled sole assemblies are disclosed herein. A shoe configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, an upper assembly attached to a sole assembly. The upper assembly can include a throat portion defining an opening configured to receive a foot and a bootie attached the overlay primarily at the throat portion. The bootie can be movable relative to the remaining portion of the upper assembly and the sole assembly. The sole assembly can include a midsole and an outsole that together define a first portion in a forefoot region of the shoe and a second portion in a heel region of the shoe. The first portion and second portions can be decoupled from each other. The midsole can include a stability plate that provides medial and lateral stability to the sole assembly.

Securing mechanisms for articles of footwear
An article of footwear includes a sole structure, an upper, and a securing mechanism. The upper comprises a toe region, a midfoot region, a heel region, a lateral side, and a medial side, and is coupled to the sole structure. The securing mechanism is fixedly attached to the upper and comprises a forefoot portion and a heel lock element. The heel lock element has a first and a second end and extends from the lateral side of the upper, passes around the heel region of the upper, and extends to the medial side of the upper. The heel lock element comprises a stiffness that is greater than the stiffness of the upper and is configured such that tensioning the securing band adjusts the heel segment of the main portion relative to a wearer's heel.

Shoe and method for making a shoe
A shoe and a corresponding method for making a shoe are disclosed. A shoe according to an embodiment includes: an upper including a main body; a midsole, an outside edge of the midsole being attached to a lower edge of the main body, the midsole being formed to define a first accommodation space; and a first fill injected in the first accommodation space.
ITEM OF FOOTWEAR
An item of footwear and a method of modifying an existing item of footwear is provided that is compact, lightweight, resilient and stable. The item of footwear includes a sole; and a fibre reinforced shank extending along a length of the sole, to provide rigidity to the sole.
Article of footwear with dynamic support
An article of footwear with a dynamic support system that controls arrays of tiles in the upper of the footwear to adjust the level of support provided in different regions of the upper. Sensors in the sole of the footwear, in the upper of the footwear and/or in an article worn by the wearer of the footwear measure the level of stress or other characteristics and provide input to one or more microprocessors that control motors located in the sole or in the upper of the footwear. When the motors are activated, they may compress or loosen arrays of tiles to adjust the stiffness of the upper in one or more regions of the upper.
