Use of Polyclonal Antibodies Against Clostridium Difficile for Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease
The present invention provides a polyclonal antibody composition prepared from eggs of hens immunized with virulent antigens of Clostridium difficile for use in the treatment and prevention of C. difficile infections in subjects with Inflammatory Bowel Disease including Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Respective groups of hens are immunized with Toxin A or Toxin B of Clostridium difficile or a Clostridium difficile spore preparation. The polyclonal antibodies are recovered from eggs pooled from the immunized hens and the resulting antibody-egg powder is administered orally in a therapeutically effective amount to individuals infected with or suspected of being infected with C. difficile.

Transcutol-Polyol-Active Agent Ternary Complex, Pharmaceutical Composition for Topical Use Comprising Same, Method for Obtaining Same and Use Thereof in Different Pathologies
Provided herein is a ternary complex that, owing to its formulation, improves the bioavailability of certain molecules inside the body which act as active agents and which, due to their structure, are not absorbed because their solubility in water is highly limited or because their ingestion via a route such as the gastric route is not advisable based on the degradation it causes in the molecule. Likewise, the present invention relates to a method for obtaining this complex, as well as a pharmaceutical composition including the same, which is effective for preventing viral infectious processes, in addition to treating and preventing chronic and degenerative diseases by means of the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and regenerative capacity of one of its components, the polyphenolic compounds.
Antibodies Against Infectious Diseases
Anti-CaENO1 antibodies and humanized antibodies are provided as an effective diagnostic agent or a therapeutic treatment against infections caused by Candida spp., preferably Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, fluconazole resistance Candida spp., Strepcococcus, Staphylococcus.
Determination method for calprotectin and the use of calprotectin as a predictive marker for cardiovascular disease
An assay method for the detection of potential for CVD or propensity to CVD in a human or non-human animal subject, said method comprising assessing the concentration of calprotectin in a calprotectin-containing sample taken from said subject.

Compositions and methods for reducing methane producing bacteria in animals
Compositions for reducing the emission of methane by ruminant animals are disclosed. The compositions include avian antibodies against methanogens generally found in the rumen of the animals. Egg contents of eggs from female birds inoculated with immunogenic compositions containing one or more methanogens or antigens derived from methanogens are used. The antibodies in the egg contents may be used directly without further purification, may be partially purified or purified. The compositions may be administered in drinking water or in animal feed. Administering of the anti-methanogenic composition reduces the emission of methane and increases the efficiency of feed conversion.

ANTIBODY AGAINST ALOPECIA-INDUCING SUBSTANCE AS ANTIGEN, COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTION METHOD
Causes of hair loss have not been completely clarified and still remain unknown in many points. However, it appears that hair loss is partly caused by a mechanism wherein androgenic hormones in the scalp become active via the activation of DHT hormone by 5-reductase and thus the activity of cells in hair roots is lost. In the present invention, an antibody, said antibody being obtained by inoculating a female bird with 5-reductase or DHT as an antigen, is administered to the scalp so that the activity of DHT is suppressed and the activity of cells in hair roots is elevated. This antibody can be used in the form of a composition together with other component (s), for example, as a hair tonic together with another hair growth promoter.
