Cytokine fusion proteins, and their pharmaceutical compositions and therapeutic applications
Provided herein are a fusion protein comprising first and second cytokine domains, and a half-life extension domain; and a pharmaceutical composition thereof. Also provided herein are methods of their use for treating, preventing, or ameliorating one or more symptoms of a proliferative disease.
Binding molecules with modified J-chain
The present invention concerns binding molecules that comprise an IgM, IgA, IgG/IgM or IgG/IgA antibody with a J-chain modified to include an ADME-modulating moiety, and their uses.
IL-2 superagonists in combination with anti-PD-1 antibodies
Human interleukin-2 (IL-2) muteins or variants thereof are provided. In particular, provided are IL-2 muteins that have an increased binding capacity for IL-2Rβ receptor as compared to wild-type IL-2 for use in combination therapies with anti-PD-1 antibodies for the treatment of cancer. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions that include such anti-PD-1 antibodies and the disclosed IL-2 muteins.
Heparin-Associated Polypeptides and Uses Thereof
Described herein are polypeptides comprising an IGF2 amino acid sequence and an amino acid sequence from a heterologous polypeptide useful for the treatment of soft-tissue and muscle diseases, disorders, and injuries. Mutations within the IGF2 amino acid sequence improved the stability of the molecule by reducing backbone cleavage. Also described herein are synergistic combinations of an Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor (IGF1R) agonist and a short chain fatty acid. Also described are methods of treating muscle and soft-tissue diseases comprising administering the polypeptides and/or synergistic compositions.
POLYPEPTIDES MIMICKING EPITOPE OF BROADLY NEUTRALIZING ANTIBODY VRC01 AS ANTIGENS FOR A VACCINE PREVENTING HIV-1 INFECTION
A polypeptide mimicking epitope of glycoprotein gp120 of HIV-1 virus that is recognized by a paratope of broadly neutralizing antibody VRC01 and has the length up to 100 amino acid residues and contains an amino acid sequence:

Methods for treating vascular eye disorders with ActRII antagonists
Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for increasing visual acuity in patients in need thereof and for treating vascular disorders of the eye.
A TRUNCATED VON WILLEBRAND FACTOR (VWF) FOR INCREASING THE IN VITRO STABILITY OF COAGULATION FACTOR VIII
The present invention relates to the use of a polypeptide comprising a truncated von Willebrand Factor (VWF) for increasing the in vitro stability of coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) in a composition comprising said FVIII and said polypeptide, wherein the molar ratio of the polypeptide to the FVIII in the composition is greater than 20.
FUSION PROTEIN COMPRISING HUMAN LEFTY A PROTEIN VARIANTS AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to a human Lefty A protein variant with improved productivity and stability, a fusion protein comprising the protein variant, and a composition for preventing and/or treating neuromuscular disease comprising the protein variant or the fusion protein. According to the present invention, a human Lefty A protein variant and a fusion protein comprising the variant are constructed, which have better stability than naturally occurring human Lefty A protein, and thus are expressed at high levels and produced in high yield in animal cells. In addition, administration of the constructed human Lefty A protein variant or fusion protein can restore the nerve and motor functions of nerve disease model animals. Accordingly, the use of the human Lefty A protein variant or fusion protein can effectively prevent or treat various nerve diseases and muscle diseases.
AQUEOUS PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING FUSION PROTEIN OF SERUM ALBUMIN AND GROWTH HORMONE
The present invention discloses an aqueous pharmaceutical composition containing a protein in which serum albumin and growth hormone are linked. The aqueous pharmaceutical composition contains, as an active ingredient, a fusion protein of human serum albumin and human growth hormone; the concentration of the fusion protein is 10-100 mg/mL; the concentration of sucrose is 10-150 mg/mL; the concentration of a nonionic surfactant is 0.15-10 mg/mL; the concentration of a preservative is 0.5-12 mg/mL; the concentration of a buffer is 1-30 mM; and the pH is 5.0-8.0.
Small angiotensin peptide expression system in mammalian cells
The present invention is directed to a delivery vector for transferring a small peptide coding sequence to a cell for expression of the small peptide coding sequence within the cell. The delivery vector comprises a secretory signal sequence; a sequence encoding a carrier protein operatively associated with the secretory signal sequence; a sequence encoding a cleavage site operatively associated with the sequence encoding a carrier protein; and a sequence encoding a small peptide operatively associated with the sequence encoding a cleavage site.
