SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FOOT SCANNING VIA A MOBILE COMPUTING DEVICE
The proposed approach is a system and method that allows a user to calculate a 3D model for each of his or her feet using a simple reference object and a mobile computing device with one or more cameras and/or one or more sensors. The mobile computing device moves around the user's feet to scan and/or capture data of his or her feet via the camera and/or the sensors. The captured sensor data is then processed by the mobile computing device to create two sets of 3D (data) point sets (also referred to as “point clouds”). These point clouds are then matched to a 3D model of an average foot to establish a correspondence between the point clouds and the 3D model. Once the correspondence is established, the mobile computing device is configured to fit one or more morphable models to the user's feet.
MODULE FOR SCANNING A FOOT, AND ASSOCIATED METHOD OF USE
The scanning module can have a cantilevered foot support extending horizontally and rearwardly from an upward portion, and a base extending horizontally and rearwardly from a bottom of the upward portion, the base overhung by the foot support, the foot support having a transparent portion configured for receiving the bare human feet in a full weight standing position, and a mirror sloping downwardly from a front end of the foot support towards the rear, extending underneath the transparent portion and configured to reflect the image of the plantar face of the foot, as seen across the transparent portion, towards the rear and the sides.
LAST, METHOD FOR PRODUCING LAST, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SHOE UPPER
Provided is a last for shaping a shoe upper. The last includes at least an outer peripheral portion composed of a plastic material that is reversibly transformed between a solid state where the plastic material has a certain shape when the shoe upper is shaped, and a plasticized state where the plastic material has fluidity and is thereby deformable.
ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR WITH UPPERS COMPRISING A WOUND COMPONENT AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Articles of footwear and methods of making articles of footwear including one or more continuous threads wound around anchor points. The winding of the one or more continuous threads forms a thread pattern that imparts desired characteristics to components of the article of footwear. Thread lines of the thread pattern may be bonded together. In some embodiments, thread lines may be bonded with a bonding layer.
Shoe and/or insole selection system
Embodiments are directed towards recommending a shoe and insole combination for a consumer. A variety of shoe information, insole information, and consumer foot information may be determined, which may include heel width, a width or shape, a length, a height, and arch characteristics. The foot information, the shoe information for a plurality of shoes, and the insole information for a plurality of insoles may be compared to determine at least one combination of shoe and insole that is compatible with the consumer's foot. Based on this comparison of foot information, shoe information, and insole information, a recommendation of at least one shoe and insole combination may be determined and provided to a user and/or the consumer.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SHOE, IN PARTICULAR A SPORTS SHOE
The invention relates to a method for producing a shoe (1), comprising a shoe sole (2) and an upper (3). In order to provide an optimally fitting shoe in a simple manner, the method comprises the following steps according to the invention: a) providing a casting mould (4) for forming at least part of the shoe sole (2), the casting mould (4) having a bottom region (5), which lies vertically at the bottom, and having a side region (6), the side region (6) forming a side wall of the casting mould cavity (7) and initially being open in the end region lying vertically at the top; b) injecting a first liquid plastic material into a first surface section (8) of the bottom region (5) of the casting mould (4) and at least injecting a second liquid plastic material into a second surface section (9) of the bottom region (5) of the casting mould (4), the two plastic materials being different, the injection of the liquid plastic material being accomplished by means of at least one nozzle (10), by means of which the plastic material is sprayed in a free jet into the surface section (8, 9) in question; c) closing the casting mould (4) by means of a cover region (11) lying vertically at the top, which cover region (1) is placed onto the side region (6) of the casting mould (4), and allowing the plastic materials to harden; d) opening of the casting mould (4) and removing the produced moulded part.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING CHARACTERISTIC FOOT DATA, COMPUTER PROGRAM AND APPARATUS
Custom-made shoes and orthopedic insoles support the wearer, with these products being manufactured at specialist retailers by a method that includes the steps of: producing a footprint; capturing the footprint and a measurement standard as a footprint image using a camera; and, extracting and/or determining the characteristic foot data on the basis of the footprint image.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL INCLINED FOOT SCANNER
An adjustable inclined foot scanner includes a frame having a connected platform, a positionally adjustable rear foot support connected to the frame and movable with respect to the platform, a heel support pivotally mounted on the rear foot support, a three-dimensional camera scanning system for covering a majority of a user's foot, the scanning system including a frontal foot scanning assembly, an under-foot scanning assembly for covering at least an arch portion of the user's foot, and a rear foot scanning assembly.
Footwear midsole with warped lattice structure and method of making the same
A midsole for an article of footwear including a three dimensional mesh including interconnected unit cells and methods of making the same. The interconnected unit cells each include a plurality of struts defining a three dimensional shape. The interconnected unit cells are connected at nodes having a valence number defined by the number of struts connected at that node. The valence number of the nodes may vary to provide customized characteristics to zones or portions of the midsole. The plurality of interconnected unit cells may be organized in a warped cubic lattice structure. The warped cubic lattice structure and the size/shape of interconnected unit cells may vary to provide customized characteristics to zones or portions of the midsole. The three dimensional mesh may be customized based on a biometric data profile for an individual, or group of individuals. The midsole may be manufactured using an additive manufacturing process.
FOOT FEATURE MEASUREMENT AND SIMULATION
A method comprises arranging a measurement paper. The measurement paper may include a plurality of lines to aid in centering a foot. The method may further include tracing a foot onto the measurement paper and making a plurality of measurements on the traced foot. Based on the plurality of measurements, shoe fit evaluator may be constructed.
