Method of measuring the shape and dimensions of human body parts

This invention belongs to measurement methods that can be used in light industry, when measuring the shape and size of the human body parts. Disclosed is a method, over the course of which, based on a series of photographs an image of a flat object of known shape and size is identified on each photograph. The body part area is isolated from the background in the image, and the area of an arbitrary body that does not belong to the projection of the human body part is cut out. Also disclosed is a method for searching an image of a flat object of known shape and size, its projection, and the camera location and orientation, over the course of which the predicted image of the flat object is compared to the real on. Here, the particle dynamics technique is used for isolating a human body part from the image background.

Shoe manufacturing

Example shoe manufacturing methods and related computer readable medium for implementing a portion of said manufacturing methods are disclosed herein. In some examples, the method includes placing an upper member about an upper portion of a last, wherein the last is a form for the shoe. In addition, the method includes producing a lasting based on data relating to a foot of a user, and attaching the lasting to the upper member, wherein the lasting extends over a lower portion of the last. Further, the method includes molding a sole onto the lasting and the upper member, and removing the last from the upper member.

Foot Measuring and Sizing Application

Systems and processes for measuring and sizing a foot are provided. In one exemplary process, at least one image of a foot and a horizontal reference object from a first point of view is captured. A portion of the foot may be disposed against a vertical reference object. The at least one image may be displayed, where one or more camera guides are overlaid on the at least one displayed image. In response to aligning the one or more camera guides with one or more of the horizontal reference object and the vertical reference object, a measurement of the foot based on the at least one captured image from the first point of view is determined.

SHOE FIT EVALUATION DEVICE AND SHOE FIT EVALUATION METHOD
20240115010 · 2024-04-11 ·

In a shoe fit evaluation system, a dimensional difference calculator calculates a part dimensional difference, which is a difference between a measurement value of a foot part dimension and a last part dimension corresponding to the foot part, by performing a certain adjustment for the part. An evaluation processor calculates a last matching rate based on the part dimensional difference. An outputter outputs information regarding the last matching rate. The dimensional difference calculator calculates the part dimensional difference by performing, as the certain adjustment, subtraction of an allowance for specific stretch properties of each shoe part.

Shoe-last modification method and system based on application of additive patches

The present invention provides a method (200) of modifying a shoe-last, comprising: acquiring (201) current digital data representing a foot shape; providing (202) reference digital data representing a shoe-last shape to be modified; comparing (203) the current digital data with the reference digital data to design patch shapes and patch positions; providing a shoe-last corresponding to the reference digital data; producing (204) patch elements corresponding to the patch shapes; and applying (204) the patch elements on the shoe-last in accordance with the patch positions obtaining a modified shoe-last. The production and the application of the patch elements on the shoe-last are performed by employing an additive manufacturing technique.

System and method for identifying physical properties of feet

The present invention is a system and method for identifying certain physical properties of human feet. The system uses electronic and optical elements to perform before and after pronation test and before and after arch tests (meaning before and after use of an orthotic), and develop a 360 degree, three-dimensional view of the foot.

Method for creating custom orthopedic supports from computerized data inputs
10466667 · 2019-11-05 ·

Systems and methods of measuring feet and designing and creating orthopedic inserts are described. A leg length discrepancy of a user is measured and this data, along with foot size are input into a computer. The computer then creates a computer model of a custom shoe insert based on this information. The computer model is then sent to a 3D printer to print the insert. The insert consists of a base insert with partial correction, and several additional layers that are added successively over time until a full correction is obtained. This eliminates any pain associated with a fully corrective insert, and allows the body to adjust gradually to the correction.

Methods and systems for retail customizable footwear components

A method of making an arch support for an article of footwear at a kiosk includes scanning a foot of a customer who has selected a shoe for purchase, determining dimensions of the customer's foot based on the scan, comparing the dimensions of the customer's foot with pre-determined dimensions of a last used to make the selected shoe, defining a shape characterized by the difference between the dimensions of the customer's foot and the dimensions of the last, and printing the arch support with a 3D printer. The arch support has the shape characterized by the difference between the dimensions of the customer's foot and the dimensions of the last.

ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR WITH UPPERS COMPRISING A WOUND COMPONENT AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

Articles of footwear and methods of making articles of footwear including one or more continuous threads wound around anchor points. The winding of the one or more continuous threads forms a thread pattern that imparts desired characteristics to components of the article of footwear. Thread lines of the thread pattern may be bonded together. In some embodiments, thread lines may be bonded with a bonding layer.
