Methacrylic resin, shaped article, and optical component or automotive part
A methacrylic resin having a cyclic structure in a main chain thereof, a shaped article, and an optical component or automotive part, in which the glass transition temperature is higher than 120° C. and 160° C. or lower, and the sign of the orientational birefringence when being oriented so as to have a degree of orientation of 0.03 is different from the sign of the orientational birefringence when being oriented so as to have a degree of orientation of 0.08.
PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING POLYOLEFINS AND IMPACT COPOLYMERS WITH BROAD MOLECULAR WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION AND HIGH STIFFNESS
Provided herein are methods of polymerizing α-olefin monomer with a catalyst and hydrogen in a slurry to produce low molecular weight polyolefins. Hydrogen is vented from the low molecular weight polyolefins and then the low molecular weight polyolefins are further polymerized in a gas phase to produce a polyolefin having a molecular weight distribution of between 4.0 and 30 and a flexural modulus between 1500 mPa and 2500 mPa.
NEODYMIUM-CATALYZED CONJUGATED DIENE-BASED POLYMER AND RUBBER COMPOSITION COMPRISING SAME
The present invention relates to a conjugated diene-based polymer having high processability and excellent compounding properties, a preparation method thereof and a rubber composition including same, and provides a neodymium-catalyzed conjugated diene-based polymer satisfying all conditions of (a) to (c), a preparation method thereof and a rubber composition including same.
PAINT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PAINT, AND PAINTED ARTICLE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PAINTED ARTICLE
A coating material of the present invention is a coating material containing: a fluorine-containing polymer having at least one of an iodine atom and a bromine atom; and a solvent, wherein a storage elastic modulus G′ of the fluorine-containing polymer is less than 360 kPa, and a total light transmittance of a mixed liquid obtained by mixing and stirring the fluorine-containing polymer and the solvent contained in the coating material is 1.0% or more, the mixed liquid being left to stand for 3 days, stirred again, and left to stand for 30 minutes to measure the total light transmittance.

Ethylene/1-butene copolymer having excellent processability
Provided is an ethylene/1-butene copolymer having excellent processability and stress cracking resistance. The ethylene/1-butene copolymer according to the present invention may be applied to a high-pressure resistant heating pipe, a PE-RT pipe, a large diameter pipe, etc.
Polymer materials for delivery of short-chain fatty acids to the intestine for applications in human health and treatment of disease
Provided herein are polymer materials that find use in, for example, delivery of short-chain fatty acids. In particular, polymers are provided that form stable nanoscale structures and release their payload, for example, by cleavage of a covalent bond (e.g., via hydrolysis or enzymatic cleavage). The polymers are useful, for example, for delivery of payloads (e.g., SCFAs) to the intestine for applications in health and treatment of disease, and have broad applicability in diseases linked to changes in the human microbiota including inflammatory, autoimmune, allergic, metabolic, and central nervous system diseases, among others.
Enzyme-assisted ATRP procedures
Materials and methods for conducting an atom transfer radical polymerization in the presence of oxygen by interlocking enzymatic activities are provided herein.
Processes for producing high propylene content PEDM using tetrahydroindacenyl catalyst systems
The present disclosure provides methods for producing an olefin polymer by contacting a C.sub.3-C.sub.40 olefin, ethylene and a diene with a catalyst system including an activator and a metallocene catalyst compound comprising a substituted or unsubstituted indacenyl group and obtaining a C.sub.3-C.sub.40 olefin-ethylene-diene terpolymer typically comprising from 1 to 35 mol % of ethylene, from 98.9 to 65 mol % C.sub.3-C.sub.40 olefin, and, optionally, from 0.1 to 10 mol % diene. Preferably, a propylene-ethylene-ethylidene norbornene is obtained.
