Composition including multiple terminally functionalized polymers
Vulcanizates with desirable properties such as reduced hysteresis and improved wear resistance can be obtained from a composition that includes particulate filler(s) and at least two types of terminally functionalized polymers. One type of polymer has a heterocyclic moiety at a terminus, while another type has at one of its termini an aryl group that includes at least two hydroxyl substituents. The functionalized polymers are provided by reacting terminally active polymers with, respectively, a heterocyclic nitrile and a compound that includes an aryl group having at least two directly bonded OG.sub.p substituents, where G.sub.p is a protecting group, and a substituent that can react with the active terminus. The protecting groups can be removed so as to provide a terminal moiety that includes an aryl group having at least two directly bonded hydroxyl groups.
RESIN COMPOSITION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
The present disclosure relates to a rubber composition and a method of preparing the same, the rubber composition comprising a viscosity modifier and a modified polymer having a structure in which a molecular weight regulator is coupled to at least one of both ends of an at least partially hydrogenated or non-hydrogenated petroleum resin. The rubber composition according to the present disclosure has improved processability and thus may replace process oil, and may markedly improve gas impermeability.

PHOTORESIST RESIN, METHOD FOR PRODUCING PHOTORESIST RESIN, PHOTORESIST RESIN COMPOSITION, AND METHOD FOR FORMING PATTERN
Provided is a resin that exhibits high resist performance because a poorly soluble component with respect to a resist solvent is reduced, and a production method for the resin. Disclosed is a photoresist resin containing an acrylic resin, in which when the photoresist resin is dissolved in propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate in such a way that a resin solid content concentration is 5 wt %, a polystyrene equivalent turbidity measured using a method described in “Drinking Water Testing Methods” of Japan Water Works Association of 2003, Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare Ordinance No. 261 of Japan is 30 or less.

HIGH VISCOSITY POLYACRYLATE BASE FLUIDS
Low molecular weight polyalkyl acrylate polymers can be used as high viscosity base fluids. A corresponding method can be used for their preparation. Lubricant compositions may contain such low molecular weight polyalkyl acrylate polymers and the compositions may be used as automatic transmission fluids, manual transmission fluids, continuously variable transmission fluids, gear oil formulations, industrial gear oil formulations, axle fluid formulations, dual clutch transmission fluids, dedicated hybrid transmission fluids, or hydraulic oils.
TRANSPARENT THERMOPLASTIC RESIN AND METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a thermoplastic resin having excellent non-whitening properties, impact strength, gloss, and fluidity, and a method of preparing the thermoplastic resin. The thermoplastic resin includes an alkyl acrylate-alkyl methacrylate graft copolymer (A), or the copolymer (A) and a matrix resin (B) including one or more selected from the group consisting of an aromatic vinyl compound-vinyl cyanide compound-alkyl methacrylate copolymer and an alkyl methacrylate polymer. A transparency measured under a condition of 3 mm thickness is less than 5, the total content of the alkyl acrylate is 20 to 50% by weight, and an alkyl acrylate coverage value (X) as calculated by Equation 1 below is 65 or more:
X={(G−Y)/Y}×100, [Equation 1] wherein G represents the total gel content (%) of the thermoplastic resin, and Y represents the content of alkyl acrylate in the gel contained in the thermoplastic resin.
