EXTENDABLE AND ADJUSTABLE INSECT ENTRAPMENT APPARATUS
20240215563 · 2024-07-04 ·

An extendable and adjustable insect entrapment apparatus reaches insects and pests in hard to reach areas through a multi-jointed elongated rod that hinges and pivots into various configuration to reach and entrap the insects with a pad of stacked, singular sticky sheets. The rod has a proximal end with a formed hole for hanging the apparatus from a distal end. At least one joint in the rod is fixedly set at a desired angle and orientation. The sticky sheets retain any insects which travel or fall into a base at the distal end of the rod. Each sheet is coated with a mild compression adhesive material that entraps an insect in response to an application of force against the insect. Each sticky sheet can be separated individually. Upon entrapment of an insect, the outermost sticky sheet restraining the insect is separated, folded to encase the insect, and disposed of.

REPLACEABLE INSERT FOR INSECT TRAPPING DEVICE AND METHODS THEREOF

A replaceable insert for an insect trapping device is provided. The insert is releaseably retained within the shell and has an adhesive portion for trapping insects. The insert has a substantially planar, longitudinally extending tab. The tab of the cartridge is laterally offset from a centerline of the insert.

PROTECTIVE COATING FOR USE ON PLANT FOLIAGE, BRANCH AND TRUNK RELATED APPLICATION
20180303084 · 2018-10-25 ·

A protective coating for applying to a plant's foliage, branches and trunk for protecting against environmental stresses is formulated by combining a paint powder with at least one insect repellant oil and at least one rodent repellant oil in a water as a diluent. The paint base protects the plant against abiotic stresses by reflecting sun rays, mitigating damage caused by summer sunburn and winter sunscald, and retaining heat. The insect repellant oil and rodent repellant oil protect the plant against biotic stresses. The protective coating once assembled in an aqueous medium, is applied to the plant. The paint powder, when activated with water, has been specifically formulated to encapsulate the added oils and offer a gradual release of active ingredients that repels insects and rodents over several months under ideal conditions. The novel coating is united by a tacky binder material made from acid treated and methyl chloride rinsed methylcellulose. Reapplication of product may be needed sooner if exposed to excessive sunlight, heat and rainfall.
