Acrylic Polyester Resin and An Aqueous Coating Composition Containing the Same
There is described an aqueous coating composition, the aqueous coating composition comprising an acrylic polyester resin, obtainable by grafting an acrylic polymer and a polyester material, the polyester material being obtainable by polymerizing: (i) a polyacid component, with (ii) a polyol component. At least one of the polyacid component and/or the polyol component comprises a functional monomer operable to impart functionality on to the polyester resin, such that an acrylic polymer may be grafted with the polyester material via the use of said functionality. The coating composition further containing a crosslinking material, wherein the crosslinking material comprises material according to formula (I); as shown in claim 1; wherein R.sub.1 is selected from aryl (such as C.sub.4 to C.sub.24 aryl), or aralkyl (such as C.sub.5 to C.sub.25 aralkyl); R.sub.2 to R.sub.5 are each independently hydrogen, alkyl (such as C.sub.1 to C.sub.20 alkyl), aryl (such as C.sub.4 to C.sub.24 aryl), aralkyl (such as C.sub.5 to C.sub.25 aralkyl) or —CHR.sub.8OR.sub.9;
wherein R.sub.8 and R.sub.9 are each independently hydrogen, alkyl (such as C.sub.1 to C.sub.20 alkyl), aryl (such as C.sub.4 to C.sub.24 aryl), aralkyl (such as C.sub.5 to C.sub.25 aralkyl), alkoxyalkyl (such as C.sub.2 to C.sub.40 alkoxyalkyl) or an alkaryl (such as C.sub.5 to C.sub.25 alkaryl);

The invention relates to compositions of hydroxyl functional acrylic resins (acrylic polyols) comprising a mixture of α,α-branched alkane carboxylic glycidyl esters derived from butene oligomers characterized in that the sum of the concentration of the blocked and of the highly branched isomers is at least 50%, preferably above 60% and most preferably above 75% on total composition.

The presently disclosed and/or claimed inventive concept(s) relates generally to oligomeric reaction products formed by the depolymerization of polyethylene terephthalate polymers and methods thereof. More specifically, the presently disclosed and/or claimed inventive concept(s) relates to oligomeric reaction products formed by the depolymerization of polyethylene terephthalate polymer obtained from, for example but not by way of limitation, waste products, such as beverage containers made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The oligomeric reaction products can, in one embodiment, be used as a starting material for polyurethanes. The presently disclosed and/or claimed inventive concept(s) also relates to processes for producing oligomeric reaction products from the depolymerization of polyethylene terephthalate. More particularly, the presently disclosed and/or claimed inventive concept(s) relates to a process of producing oligomeric reaction products of polyethylene terephthalate capable of controlling the removal of byproducts during the reaction. The presently disclosed and/or claimed inventive concept(s) also relates to ultraviolet curable urethane acrylate and polyethylene terephthalate compositions and methods of making and uses thereof.

An electrophotographic developer set comprising a toner, and a powder adhesive, wherein the powder adhesive comprises a crystalline polyester resin, and a thermoplastic resin other than the crystalline polyester resin; the amount of the crystalline polyester resin in the powder adhesive is 21% by mass or more; the melting point of the crystalline polyester resin is 55° C. to 100° C.; in a viscoelasticity measurement, where Gt′(100) denotes a storage elastic modulus of the toner at 100° C. and Gb′(100) denotes a storage elastic modulus of the powder adhesive at 100° C., Gb′(100) is 1.0×10.sup.5 Pa or less and Gt′(100)/Gb′(100) is 1.2 or more.

AEROSOL PAINT COMPOSITION AND METALLIC MECHANICAL PART COATED WITH SAME
Provided are an aerosol coating composition excellent in a matte effect and capable of preventing co-rotation from occurring. The aerosol coating composition contains a modified alkyd resin, inorganic microparticles and an organic solvent. Herein, the modified alkyd resin is a non-aqueous dispersion resin which is a copolymer of a vinyl based monomer and an alkyd resin. The inorganic microparticles are made of one selected from silica, titanium oxide, zinc oxide, alumina, calcium carbonate, talc and clay or the like. The inorganic microparticles have a mean particle diameter of 1.0 to 10.0 μm, and a content of 0.1 to 5 mass %. There is also provided a metallic mechanical part coated with the aerosol coating composition.
