SILICONE PARTICLE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A silicone particle containing: a dialkylsiloxane unit represented by the following general formula (1), R.sup.4.sub.2SiO.sub.2/2 (1), where, in the formula (1), R.sup.4s each independently represent a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and a poly(alkyleneoxyalkyl)methylsiloxane unit represented by the following general formula (2), where, in the formula (2), R.sup.1s each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R.sup.2s each independently represent a divalent aliphatic group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and “n” is a number that satisfies 1≤n≤20, where the silicone particle has an oxyalkylene group in a surface thereof. A silicone particle may be readily dispersed in an aqueous material without the use of a dispersant or a surfactant, the silicone particle having a hydrophilic group.

Silicone compositions containing acrylate cure accelerator
Compositions are disclosed which include between about 0.05 to about 5 or less wt. % of at least one acrylate monomer based on the total weight of the composition. The acrylate monomer reduces the peak cure temperature, thereby accelerating the rate of cure, without sacrificing completeness of the cure or the release performance of the cured product. The addition of the acrylate monomer also enables a reduction in the amount of costly platinum catalyst required to effectively cure a composition. In addition to the acrylate monomer, the compositions also include a silicone base polymer, a crosslinking agent, and platinum catalyst. The cured compositions exhibit properties useful for incorporation into release liners, adhesive articles, medical products and gaskets.

CURABLE COMPOSITIONS
Provided is a curable composition including the following components: (i) a first alkoxysilane which is unhydrolyzed; (ii) a second alkoxysilane which is 5 to 45 percent hydrolyzed; and (iii) an ethylenically unsaturated monomer. The invention also provides coatings formed from the curable composition and articles coated with the curable composition.
OPHTHALMIC DEVICES
An ophthalmic device for slowing, inhibiting or preventing myopia progression which is a polymerization product of a monomeric mixture comprising (a) greater than 50 wt. %, based on the total weight of the monomeric mixture, of one or more non-silicone-containing hydrophilic monomers; (b) one or more crosslinking agents; and (c) one or more red-light blocking compounds blocking greater than 5% to about 25% of red-light transmission through the ophthalmic device at a wavelength of from about 550 nm to about 800 nm, wherein the one or more red-light blocking compounds have one or more ethylenically unsaturated reactive end groups.

Coating agent for leather, and leather on which coating by coating agent is formed
The present invention provides a coating agent for leather, the coating agent containing: in terms of solid content ratio, (I) an aqueous urethane resin; (II) a matting agent; and (III) a silicone acryl graft copolymer resin emulsion in which the weight ratio of a polyorganosiloxane represented by a specified formula relative to acrylic ester units or methacrylic ester units is 50:50 to 90:10, and a leather on which a coating by the coating agent for leather is formed. This coating agent for leather has exceptional wear resistance and anti-fouling properties, and a leather on which a coating by the coating agent is formed can maintain a high-quality external appearance and high wear resistance.
