Vinyl chloride polymer and production method thereof
The present invention relates to a vinyl chloride polymer and a production method thereof. More specifically, the present invention provides a vinyl chloride polymer having a polydispersity index of 2.0 to 2.3 and a porosity of 60% or greater and a production method thereof in which a vinyl chloride polymerization seed having a conversion rate of 5-20% is first prepared through preliminary polymerization and then a vinyl chloride monomer is introduced into the vinyl chloride polymerization seed to polymerize (main polymerization) a vinyl chloride polymer.
CATALYSTS AND PROCESS FOR OLEFINS AND POLAR VINYL MONOMERS COPOLYMERIZATION AND OLEFINS HOMOPOLYMERIZATION
The invention relates to a family of Pd(II)-based catalysts of general formula (I) reproduced below for use in the production of olefin/polar vinyl monomer copolymers and olefin homopolymers. The invention also refers to ligands that are intermediates in the synthesis of the catalysts, to the process for the synthesis of homo- and copolymers using these catalysts, and to the homo- and copolymers thus obtained.

CONTROL OF UNSATURATION IN POLYMERS PRODUCED IN SOLUTION PROCESS
The copolymerization of ethylene with an optional comonomer is conducted in the presence of a catalyst having a specific aryloxy ether ligand structure. The process enables very high conversions of ethylene to polyethylene at very short residence times when conducted under conditions of pressures of at least 10.3 MPa and high ethylene feed concentrations of from 70 to 150 grams per liter. Using these polymerization conditions, the level of unsaturation may be controlled by the polymerization temperature: for example, a level of 0.09 vinyl groups per 1000 carbon atoms was observed at a polymerization temperature of 160° C. and a level of 0.22 vinyls per 1000 carbon atoms was observed at 220° C.

SUPRAMOLECULAR ADDITIVES FOR SEMICRYSTALLINE PLASTICS
A semicrystalline plastic composition comprising: a semicrystalline plastic and an additive dispersed therein. The semicrystalline plastic includes a polymeric chain comprising repeat units of an oligomeric or polymeric chain and the additive comprises a supramolecular building block and an oligomeric or polymeric tail. The oligomeric or polymeric tail of the additive having the same repeat units as the polymeric chain of the semicrystalline plastic. The additive forming a plurality of sheet-like structures through hydrogen bonding. The sheet-like structures, interacting through non-covalent interaction, form crystallized additive domains within the semicrystalline plastic.
