Polyethylene composition and film having high stiffness, outstanding sealability and high permeability
A polyethylene composition includes a first polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 70,000 to 250,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of <2.3, a second polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 15,000 to 100,000, a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of >2.3, and a third polyethylene which is an ethylene copolymer or homopolymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 70,000 to 250,000 and a molecular weight distribution M.sub.w/M.sub.n of >2.3, where the first polyethylene has more short chain branching than the second polyethylene or the third polyethylene. The polyethylene composition has a soluble fraction in a CEF analysis of at least 10 weight percent. Film made from the polyethylene composition may have a machine direction 1% secant modulus of 200 ≥MPa (at a film thickness of about 1 mil), a seal initiation temperature (SIT) of ≤90° C. (at a film thickness of about 2 mil), an area of hot tack window (AHTW) of ≥160 Newtons.Math.C° (at a film thickness of about 2 mil) and an oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of ≥600 cm.sup.3 per 100 inch per day (at a film thickness of about 1 mil).
Isobutylene copolymers, method for making isobutylene copolymers and isobutylene copolymer products
Isobutylene copolymer includes repeat units derived from isobutylene and one or more comonomers selected from isoprene, butadiene, cyclopentadiene, dicyclopentadiene, limonene, substituted styrenes, and C4 to C10 dienes other than isoprene, butadiene, limonene, cyclopentadiene, or dicyclopentadiene, wherein the molar ratio of isobutylene derived repeat units to the comonomer derived repeat units is from 75:1 to 1.5:1. The copolymers have a molecular weight, Mn, of from 200 to 20,000 Daltons and typically have a high double bond content and a high vinylidene double bond content when diene monomers are utilized.

HIGHLY BRANCHED, LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYOLEFINS AND METHODS FOR THEIR PRODUCTION
Low molecular weight, highly branched polyolefins are provided. Also provided are catalyst-mediated methods of making the low molecular weight, highly branched polyolefins and a catalyst system for carrying out the methods. The catalyst system is a homogeneous catalytic system that includes a single-site organozirconium complex and hydrocarbon-soluble perfluoroarylborate co-catalyst that is highly active for the oligomerization of olefin monomers in non-polar media.

Low molecular weight, highly branched polyolefins are provided. The present invention relates to an adhesive polyethylene composition comprising (A) from 60 to 90 wt % of a non-elastomeric polyethylene being a terpolymer of ethylene with two different alpha-olefin comonomer units selected from alpha-olefins having from 4 to 12 carbon atoms; (B) from 9.0 to 38 wt % of an elastomer; wherein onto component (A) or components (A) and (B) an acid grafting agent (C) has been grafted in an amount of from 0.01 to 3.0 wt %, all based on the total weight of the adhesive polyethylene composition, a multi-layer structure comprising said adhesive polyethylene composition and the use of said adhesive polyethylene composition for the production of a multi-layer structure.

Adhesive composition including ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer
The present invention provides an adhesive composition including an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer; and a tackifier, wherein the ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer has narrow molecular weight distribution together with a low density and an ultra low molecular weight, minimized number of unsaturated functional groups, and particularly a small amount of vinylidene among the unsaturated functional groups, thereby showing excellent physical properties.
