The quantum dot polymer composite pattern includes a repeating section including a polymer matrix; and a plurality of quantum dots (e.g., dispersed) in the polymer matrix, the repeating unit including a first section configured to emit light of a first light, and wherein the inorganic layer is disposed on at least a portion of a surface of the repeating section.
Particles containing modified polyvinyl alcohol
The invention relates to particles with an average particle size of 300 to 1000 μm, comprising a modified polyvinyl alcohol having vinyl alcohol units and structural units represented by formula (1), wherein a content of the vinyl alcohol units is 60 to 90 mol % based on the total structural units: ##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group. Thus, the present invention provides particles containing a modified polyvinyl alcohol having high water solubility and high affinity for a photosensitive monomer, which are highly photosensitive.
CLEANING COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING COPOLYMERS AND THEIR USE
Cleaning compositions e.g. containing one or more copolymers comprising structural units a) derived from one or more monomers comprising a sulfonic acid group or a sulfonate group, and structural units b) derived from one or more monomers comprising a carboxylic acid group or a carboxylate group and structural units c) derived from one or more cationic monomers are disclosed.
The cleaning compositions are e.g. suited to be used for the treatment of hard surfaces, for easier next time cleaning of hard surfaces and for preventing the build-up of limescale on hard surfaces.
CROSSLINKED SYNTHETIC POLYMER-BASED RESERVOIR DRILLING FLUID
Branched and crosslinked polymeric fluid loss control agents and methods are provided that have at least one acrylamide-based monomer, at least one sulfonated anionic monomer, and at least one crosslinking monomer. The at least one acrylamide-based monomer and the at least one sulfonated anionic monomer are crosslinked. The branched and crosslinked polymeric fluid loss control agents have between 50 and 99 mol % of the at least one acrylamide-based monomer, between 1 and 30 mol % of the at least one sulfonated anionic monomer, and between 0.1 and 10 mol % of the at least one crosslinking monomer.

A display that includes an image producing system and a light filtering layer in the blue range, the light filtering layer having a limited impact on the gamut of the display. The image producing system has a gamut G.sub.0 defined in a color space The light filtering layer includes semi-conductive nanoparticles, and the absorbance through the light filtering layer is greater than 0.25 for each light wavelength ranging from 350 nm to λ.sub.cut, λ.sub.cut being in the range from 420 nm to 450 nm. The gamut G.sub.1 of the image producing system with the filtering layer has an area greater than 90% of the area of gamut G.sub.0 in the color space.

AUTO-INVERTIBLE INVERSE POLYMER EMULSION
The invention relates to an inverse polymer emulsion having the particular feature of auto-inverting without any need for the use of an inverting agent and containing a polymer of at least one water-soluble monomer and at least one LCST macromonomer. The invention also relates to the use of the inverse emulsion in the fields of the oil and gas industry, water treatment, slurry treatment, paper manufacturing, construction, mining, cosmetics, textiles, detergents or agriculture.

The present invention relates a photovoltaic module comprising a protective front layer element, an encapsulation layer element, a photovoltaic cell element and a protective back layer element, whereby at least one of the protective elements comprises glass; wherein the encapsulation layer element comprises a polymer composition (I) comprising at least the following components: (A) 97.00 to 99.99 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition (I) of a polymer selected from an ethylene-vinylacetate copolymer, a polyolefin elastomer or a polymer of ethylene (a) selected from (a1) a copolymer of ethylene which bears functional groups containing units; (a2) a copolymer of ethylene comprising one or more polar comonomer unit(s) selected from (C1-C6)-alkyl acrylate or (C1-C6)-alkyl (C1-C6)-alkyl acrylate comonomer units, and optionally bears functional groups containing units different from said polar comonomer unit(s); (a3) a copolymer of ethylene comprising one or more alpha-olefin comonomer unit(s); and optionally bears functional groups containing units different from said polar comonomer unit(s) of polymer (a2); or mixtures thereof; and (b) silane group(s) containing units; (B) 0.01 to 3.00 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition (I) of a compound according to Formula (I); wherein; R.sub.1, R.sub.1′, R.sub.2 and R.sub.2′ are each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, n-alkyl, iso-alkyl, alkoxy, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, halogen and mixtures thereof; X is selected from the group consisting of primary amines, secondary amines, tertiary amines, hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl and mixtures thereof. Furthermore, the present invention refers to the use of an encapsulation layer element comprising polymer composition (I) according to the invention for increasing the P.sub.max determined after 96 h according to IEC 60904, by applying the foil method with a temperature of 85° C. and relative humidity of 60% and a potential difference of 1500 V, of a photovoltaic module comprising besides the encapsulation layer element a protective front layer element, a photovoltaic cell element and a protective back element, whereby at least one of the protective elements comprises glass.

PROCESS AND PLANT FOR MANUFACTURING AQUEOUS POLYACRYLAMIDE GELS
Process and a plant for making polyacrylamides by polymerizing an aqueous solution comprising at least acrylamide and acrylic acid or salts thereof in the presence of initiators for radical polymerization under adiabatic conditions, wherein acrylamide and acrylic acid are stored at the site of the plant as dilute aqueous solutions in pressure-resistant tanks and also the monomer mixing vessel and the polymerization vessel are pressure-resistant. The combination of using diluted monomer solutions and pressure-resistant tanks ensures that even in case of an unintended and uncontrolled polymerization, said vessels don't burst and there is no spill out of the plant to the environment.
