Branched and crosslinked polymeric fluid loss control agents and methods are provided that have at least one acrylamide-based monomer, at least one sulfonated anionic monomer, and at least one crosslinking monomer. The at least one acrylamide-based monomer and the at least one sulfonated anionic monomer are crosslinked. The branched and crosslinked polymeric fluid loss control agents have between 50 and 99 mol % of the at least one acrylamide-based monomer, between 1 and 30 mol % of the at least one sulfonated anionic monomer, and between 0.1 and 10 mol % of the at least one crosslinking monomer.

Curable adhesive compositions are provided that can be cured using ultraviolet or visible light radiation. These curable adhesive compositions, which contain a curable (meth)acrylate copolymer, have a creep compliance that is less than 5(10.sup.−4) inverse Pascals at 25° C., a creep compliance that is greater than 1(10.sup.−3) inverse Pascals at 70° C., and a shear storage modulus greater than 40 kiloPascals when measured at 25° C. at a frequency of 1 radian/second.

The water-absorbing agent contains a polyacrylic acid (salt)-based water-absorbing resin as a main component and satisfies all of the following physical properties (a) to (e): (a) a weight average particle diameter (D50) is 300 μm or more and less than 400 μm; (b) a proportion of particles with a particle diameter of 600 μm or more and less than 850 μm is less than 10 weight %; (c) an average gap radius is 100 μm or more and less than 180 μm; (d) a CRC is 28 g/g or more and less than 34 g/g; and (e) an AAP is 24 g/g or more.
