Polylactide/silicon-containing block copolymers for nanolithography
The present invention includes a diblock copolymer system that self-assembles at very low molecular weights to form very small features. In one embodiment, one polymer in the block copolymer contains silicon, and the other polymer is a polylactide. In one embodiment, the block copolymer is synthesized by a combination of anionic and ring opening polymerization reactions. In one embodiment, the purpose of this block copolymer is to form nanoporous materials that can be used as etch masks in lithographic patterning.
Synthesis of functional polyisobutylene-containing oligomers and polymers
Disclosed are single step and multi-step methods of making functional polyisobutylene (PIB)-containing oligomers and polymers and the materials made thereby. In the single step method a functional group containing PIB oligomer or polymer is made under cationic polymerization conditions in a direct, one step reaction. In the multi-step method a functional group containing PIB oligomer or polymer is made in a two-step process. The first step is performed under cationic polymerization conditions. The second step is performed under non-cationic polymerization conditions.

The present invention was made in view of the foregoing problem and has an object to provide a photocurable resin composition which can be quickly cured by irradiation with active energy rays such as ultraviolet rays and achieves excellent adhesion to polyolefin such as PP having properties difficult to bond. Specifically, provided is a photocurable resin composition containing the following (A) and (B) ingredients: (A) ingredient: a polymer having a polyisobutylene backbone mainly containing a —[CH.sub.2C(CH.sub.3).sub.2]— unit, the polymer having one or more (meth)acryloyl groups per molecule; and (B) ingredient: a photo-radical initiator of hydrogen abstraction type.

A polycarbonate-polyolefin block copolymer and a process to form a polycarbonate-polyolefin block copolymer by combining mono- or di-hydroxyaryl with vinyl/vinylidene terminated polyolefin to form a polyolefin hydroxyaryl moiety, and combining the polyolefin hydroxyaryl moiety with di-hydroxyaryl and di-substituted carbonyl monomers to form a polycarbonate-polyolefin block copolymer.
RUBBER COMPOSITION
The invention relates to a rubber composition which comprises an elastomer which is a copolymer of ethylene and of a 1,3-diene which comprises ethylene units which represent more than 50 mol % of the monomer units of the copolymer, the 1,3-diene being 1,3-butadiene or isoprene, 35 to 100 phr of a reinforcing filler which comprises a silica, a plasticizing system comprising a hydrocarbon plasticizing resin and a hydrocarbon liquid plasticizing agent, it being understood that the total content of hydrocarbon plasticizing resin and of hydrocarbon liquid plasticizing agent is greater than 10 phr and less than or equal to 80 phr. Such a composition confers on a tread of a tire an improved performance compromise between grip, roadholding and rolling resistance.
Encapsulant for PV module, method of manufacturing the same and PV module comprising the same
The present application relates to an encapsulant for a PV module, a method of manufacturing the same and a PV module. The encapsulant according to an embodiment of the present application has excellent heat resistance or the like and improved creep physical properties, and thus even when the encapsulant is used under conditions of a high temperature and/or high humidity for a long time, deformation is small and the encapsulant can exhibit excellent adhesive strength. Accordingly, when the encapsulant is applied to a PV module, durability or the like may be improved.
Modifier, Modified Conjugated Diene-Based Polymer Comprising Thereof and Method for Preparing the Polymer
A modifying conjugated diene-based polymer, a method for preparing the same and a method for preparing the same are disclosed, herein. The modified conjugated diene-based polymer has excellent affinity with a filler and may improve the compounding properties of the conjugated diene-based polymer. In some embodiments, a modified conjugated diene-based polymer including a repeating unit derived from a conjugated diene-based monomer and a functional group derived from a modifier represented by Formula 1 in at least one terminal thereof.
Polymerisable plasticiser, liquid polyurethane resin composition comprising same and uses thereof
The present invention relates to a polymerisable plasticiser formed by a hydrocarbon chain, one end of which bears more than one isocyanate function, said hydrocarbon chain comprising and/or being substituted by an aromatic ring and/or an aliphatic ring and/or said hydrocarbon chain is substituted by at least two hydrocarbon chains that can comprise an unsaturation, and the number of isocyanate functions being strictly greater than 1, preferably greater than 1.2, and, more preferably, grater than 1.5 but less than or equal to 2.2. The invention also relates to liquid polyurethane resin compositions and, in particular, stable, ready-to-use liquid polyurethane resin compositions comprising said plasticiser. The invention further relates to methods for replacing all or part of the exogenous plasticiser and/or solvent in a polyurethane resin by adding said polymerisable plasticiser.
