Disclosed is a composition including controlled release particles, wherein each of the controlled release particles includes: (a) a core including at least one hydrophobic active ingredient; and (b) a wall at least partially surrounding the core and including the reaction products of: (i) an organofunctional silane; (ii) an epoxy; (iii) an amine; (iv) an isocyanate; (v) an epoxide curing agent; wherein the controlled release particles are effective to retain the at least one hydrophobic active ingredient upon exposure to water and effective to release the at least one hydrophobic active ingredient in response to friction. A method for preparing the composition is also disclosed.

HOT MELT ADHESIVE SHEET
A hot melt adhesive sheet according to the present invention is a hot melt adhesive sheet including a base material having at least one surface on which an adhesive layer made of a hot melt adhesive is disposed. The hot melt adhesive includes a crosslinked product of an adhesive composition including a crosslinking agent, and includes a polyurethane resin, an epoxy resin, an isocyanate-based crosslinking agent, and a crystalline polyester resin. The epoxy resin includes a bisphenol A type epoxy resin and a rubber-modified epoxy resin. The crystalline polyester resin has a number average molecular weight Mn of 33,000 or less, and a glass transition temperature Tg of 5 C. or less. The isocyanate-based crosslinking agent is included in an amount of 14 mass parts or less based on 100 mass parts of a total of the polyurethane resin and the crystalline polyester resin.
CURABLE COMPOSITION AND FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL
The present invention provides a curable composition comprising a urethane-modified epoxy resin (A) as an essential component of a main material, and an acid anhydride (B) as an essential component of a curing agent, wherein the urethane-modified epoxy resin (A) is a reaction product of a polyisocyanate compound (a1), a polyester polyol (a2), and a hydroxyl group-containing epoxy resin (a3) as essential reaction raw materials. The curable composition of the invention is advantageous in that a cured product having excellent fracture toughness and excellent tensile strength can be formed from the composition.
AQUEOUS ACRYLIC TEXTURED LAYER FORMING COMPOSITIONS USEFUL AS TOP COATS FOR SYNTHETIC SPORT SURFACES
The present invention provides two-component aqueous textured layer forming compositions useful for forming flexible top coat layers for sports surfaces. The compositions comprise vulcanized or crosslinked rubber granules, for example, EPDM rubber, a soft:hard acrylic emulsion copolymer blend in a solids weight ratio to vulcanized or crosslinked rubber granule solids that ranges from less than 1:4 to 1:9, a polyalkylene oxide rheology modifier, one or more high boiling alcohols and, as a separate component, an aqueous dispersion of an aliphatic polyisocyanate as well as an epoxy silane. The vulcanized or crosslinked rubber granules may have a sieve particle size of 8 mm or less. The inventive top coat layers have enhanced tensile strength and elongation as well as improved pot life and color stability.

A method of producing wood-base panels, especially OSB wood-base panels is provided. The method including the steps of providing wood strands, applying at least one adhesive system to the wood strands having at least one polymer adhesive and at least one nanoparticle below 500 nm, and pressing the wood strands admixed with the adhesive system to form wood-base panels.

An adhesive film for polarizing plates, a polarizing plate including the same, and an optical display apparatus including the same are provided. An adhesive film for polarizing plates is formed of an adhesive composition including a (meth)acrylic copolymer, an isocyanate curing agent, a metal chelate curing agent, and an antistatic agent, and has a surface resistance difference ΔSR of 1.0 (log(Ω/□)) or less, as calculated by Equation 1 and, in Equation 1, SR1 is 10 (log(Ω/□)) or less.
