Two-component polyurethane or polyisocyanurate low pressure spray foam composition containing a gaseous blowing agent comprising pressurized carbon dioxide
Storage-stable two-component polyurethane or polyisocyanurate spray foam compositions are disclosed, said compositions comprising: (a) an A-side component comprising one or more polyisocyanate and one or more blowing agent; and (b) a B-side component comprising one or more polyol and one or more blowing agent comprising pressurized gaseous carbon dioxide and one or more liquid blowing agent; wherein both the A-side component and the B-side component, separately, generate less than 300 ppm of fluoride ion after one week of aging at 50° C.
Composite element having improved properties
The disclosure provides a composite element having a layer structure with 2 mm to 20 mm of metal, 10 mm to 100 mm of compact polyurethane formulation and another 2 mm to 20 mm of metal, a method of using thereof and corresponding production process therefor. The polyurethane formulation is obtainable by reacting (a) a compound having at least two isocyanate groups with (b) polyether polyol and the polyether polyol (b) is a mixture including at least the constituents of polyether polyol (b1) and polyether polyol (b2).
Hydrophilic polyurethane foam for water
Hydrophilic polyurethane foam is made from a diphenylmethane-based quasi-prepolymer having specified isocyanate and oxyethylene contents. The foams have an unusually good capacity for retaining water even when under compressive forces. They also exhibit at most moderate swelling when saturated with water. The foam is useful as a layer of a water containment system such as a green roof or blue roof system.
