The present invention provides a spherical powder having properties, such as an excellent strength, toughness, and deformation recovery, and provides a method for producing same. The present invention provides: a spherical powder containing a crosslinked body formed having (A) a polyrotaxane in which both ends of a pseudopolyrotaxane, which are formed by inclusion of the opening of a cyclic molecule by threading therethrough with a linear molecule, are provided with a capping group so that dethreading of the linear molecule is prevented, in particular, a spherical powder having an average particle diameter of 0.5 to 1,000 m, preferably 1 to 500 m, more preferably 1 to 300 m, and still more preferably 1 to 150 m; and a method for producing this spherical powder.

Disclosed herein are a polyrotaxane conjugated metal chelators and selectively cleavable linkers. The compositions have prolonged plasma residence time, and upon contact with the appropriate chemical environment, are cleaved and then renally and fecally cleared.

In various embodiments a polyrotaxane carrier for in vivo delivery of a nucleic acid is provided. In certain embodiments the carrier comprises: a multi-arm polyethylene glycol (PEG) backbone comprising at least three arms; at least one cyclic compound having a cavity, where an arm of said multi-arm PEG backbone is threaded into the cavity of said cyclic compound forming an inclusion complex; a bulky moiety capping the terminal of the arm(s) threaded into said cyclic compound where said moiety inhibits dethreading of the cyclodextrin from the arm(s) of said backbone; and where at least one arm of said PEG backbone is free of cyclic compounds; and where said carrier has a net positive charge.

There is provided a cured product of an epoxy resin composition, in which the compounding composition and the phase-separated structure of the epoxy resin composition are controlled so that the balance between rigidity and toughness of the cured product is superior compared with those of cured products of conventional epoxy resin compositions. A cured product of an epoxy resin composition, which has both superior rigidity and superior toughness compared with conventional materials can be produced by curing an epoxy resin composition comprising an epoxy resin, a polyrotaxane having graft-chain-modified cyclic molecules and a curing agent for the epoxy resin.

There are provided a fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin molded article including a thermoplastic resin [A], carbon fibers [B] and a polyrotaxane [C], the thermoplastic resin [A], the carbon fibers [B] and the polyrotaxane [C] being included in amounts of 40 to 98 parts by weight, 1 to 40 parts by weight and 1 to 20 parts by weight, respectively, based on 100 parts by weight of the total content of the thermoplastic resin [A], the carbon fibers [B] and the polyrotaxane [C], wherein the carbon fibers [B] included in the molded article have a weight-average fiber length [Lw] in a range of 0.5 to 20 mm, and a ratio ([C]/[B]) of the content of the polyrotaxane [C] to that of the carbon fibers [B] is 0.04 or more and 0.5 or less; and a thermoplastic resin molded article which has excellent impact strength and also has excellent conductivity.
PRODUCTION METHOD FOR LOW INCLUSION RATE POLYROTAXANE
The present invention provides a production method for pseudo-polyrotaxane or polyrotaxane in which the degree of ring-shaped molecules included on straight-chain molecules, that is, the inclusion rate, has been controlled to be low and stable. The present invention provides a production method for polyrotaxane formed by blocking groups being positioned at both ends of a pseudo-polyrotaxane so ring-shaped molecules are not released, said pseudo-polyrotaxane being formed by ring-shaped molecules skewered through openings thereof by straight-chain molecules, wherein polyrotaxane is obtained by means of said method having: (A) a step for preparing straight-chain molecules which have acidic or basic functional groups on both ends; (B) a step for forming pseudo-polyrotaxane by means of having a step for mixing the straight-chain molecules, the ring-shaped molecules, and a first basic group or an acid addition salt (the acid addition salt is used when the straight-chain molecules have the acidic functional groups; a base addition salt is used when the straight-chain molecules have the basic functional groups); and (C) a step for providing blocking groups on both ends of the straight-chain molecules by means of having a step for mixing the obtained pseudo-polyrotaxane and a blocking group precursor.
