The present invention aims to provide a polyol composition capable of producing a flexible polyurethane foam having excellent low resilience at room temperature and good breathability. The present invention provides a polyol composition (C) for producing flexible polyurethane foam, containing a polyester polyol (A) and a polyether polyol (B), wherein the followings (1) to (4) are satisfied: (1) the polyol composition (C) has an ester group concentration of 0.4 to 4.0 mmol/g based on the weight of the polyol composition (C); (2) the polyol composition (C) has an oxyethylene group unit content of 15 to 40 wt % based on the weight of the polyol composition (C); (3) the polyester polyol (A) includes a polyester polyol (A1) having two to four hydroxy groups in one molecule obtained by polymerization of a raw material containing a compound (a) having multiple hydroxyl groups and a polycarboxylic acid or acid anhydride of the polycarboxylic acid; and (4) the polyether polyol (B) includes an oxyethylene group-containing polyether polyol (B1).

A method for preparing a novel waterborne polyurethane foam layer for synthetic leather is disclosed. The method includes first preparing a charged cellulose nanofiber by using a wood pulp as a raw material; meanwhile, subjecting a polyisocyanate, a macromolecular diol, a hydrophilic chain extender and a small molecular chain extender to a polyaddition reaction and an acid-base neutralization reaction in sequence, to obtain a cationic or anionic waterborne polyurethane; adding the charged cellulose nanofiber and a certain amount of a crosslinking agent to the oppositely charged ionic waterborne polyurethane emulsion, stirring the resulting mixture, forming a bimolecular layer at the gas/liquid interface by a self-assembly of the cellulose nanofiber and waterborne polyurethane nanoparticles through electrostatic interactions to obtain a stable Pickering foam; using the stable Pickering foam as a template, drying and solidifying to obtain the waterborne polyurethane foam layer for synthetic leather.

Processes for making a molded flexible foam. The processes include: (a) depositing a foam-forming reaction mixture onto a surface of a mold cavity, and (b) allowing the foam-forming reaction mixture to react in the mold cavity. The foam-forming reaction mixture comprises: (1) a polyisocyanate present in an amount of less than 45% by weight, based on the total weight of the foam-forming reaction mixture; (2) an isocyanate-reactive composition comprising at least 50% by weight, based on the total weight of polyol in the isocyanate-reactive composition, of a polyether polyol having a functionality of greater than 2, an oxyethylene content of 0 to 50% by weight, based on the total weight of the polyether polyol, more than 50 mol % of primary OH groups, and an OH number of 8 to 112 mg KOH/g; (3) a blowing agent comprising water present in an amount of at least 0.5% by weight, based on the total weight of the foam-forming reaction mixture; and (4) a tin-free metallic catalyst composition comprising a bismuth-based catalyst and a zinc-based catalyst.
