Maturation or ripening inhibitor release from polymer, fiber, film, sheet or packaging
Thermoplastic polyolefin polymer compositions, polymer chips, fibers, woven or nonwoven fabrics, films, closures, and laminates include a polymer and cyclodextrin compound with a volatile maturation inhibitor or an olefinic ethylene receptor antagonist in respiring produce materials. The polymer composition can also include a cyclodextrin-modified polymer or a substituted cyclodextrin. Olefinic ethylene inhibitors can be formed in the cyclodextrin composition, wherein the cyclodextrin releases the olefinic inhibitor composition when used in produce packaging materials. Coating compositions can also be made. The inhibitor is introduced into the materials and is released under controlled conditions of humidity. Upon release, the olefinic inhibitor blocks ethylene receptor sites on proteins that control maturation and can produce an extended period during which the produce does not substantially complete maturation or ripening to a degree leading to spoilage.

Package comprising feeding materials for cut flowers
A sachet assembly, includes a closed bag which is formed from water-permeable filter paper, and a solid substance which is contained in the bag and is at least partially water-soluble. The water-soluble solid substance comprises a preparation for cut flowers. In particular, the preparation comprises a foodstuff and/or conditioning agent and/or disinfectant and/or biocide and/or growth inhibitor. The packaging assembly includes a waterproof, or at least moisture-proof, outer packaging containing a large number of sachets. The invention also relates to the use of a sachet made from water-permeable filter paper for administering a preparation to cut flowers which are standing in water.

Tubular filter that absorbs ethylene or other gases, for refrigerated transport containers
The invention relates to a tubular filter that absorbs ethylene or other gases for refrigerated transport containers, formed by a cylindrical tube of plastic mesh (2) with hermetic caps (3) at both ends, which contains granules that absorb ethylene or other gases, the mesh (2) having a structural configuration formed by an inner crown (20) having a circular filament (201), and an outer crown (21) having a wing-shaped filament (211), the base thereof being wider than the distal end thereof, thereby facilitating the entry of air flow into the tube. It further comprises a support accessory (4) fixed in the container for which the filter (1) is intended, and it has an aerodynamic shape that helps to increase air flow through the filter (1) and liquid collection means.
