Thermosetting powder coating material and coated product
A thermosetting powder coating material includes powder particles containing a thermosetting resin, a thermosetting agent, and a surfactant. The amount of the surfactant is about 0.1 ppm or more and about 8.0 ppm or less on a mass basis.
NOVEL POWDER COATING SYSTEM
A powder coating composition is described. The composition includes an inorganic bismuth-containing compound or a mixture of inorganic and organic bismuth-containing compounds. The powder composition demonstrates a high degree of cross-linking in the coating and produces a cured coating with optimal crosslinking and corrosion resistance.
THERMOSETTING POWDER COATING COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING DILAUROYL PEROXIDE
The invention relates to thermosetting powder coating compositions as these are disclosed herein. The compositions comprise certain unsaturated resins comprising ethylenic unsaturations, curing agents selected from vinyl urethanes, vinyl functionalized urethane resins and mixtures thereof, dilauroyl peroxide as initiator, and a co-initiator selected from the group of onium compounds and sulpho-compounds. The invention further relates to a process for making said thermosetting powder coating compositions and processes for coating an article with said thermosetting powder coating compositions. The invention further relates to cured thermosetting powder coating compositions obtained by curing of the thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention. The invention further relates to an article having coated thereon said thermosetting powder coating composition as well as to an article having coated and cured thereon said thermosetting powder coating composition. The invention further relates to the use of said thermosetting powder coating compositions, to the use of an article having coated thereon said thermosetting powder coating compositions and to the use of an article having coated and cured thereon said thermosetting powder coating compositions. The invention further relates to various uses of either the thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention, or the cured thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention or of articles having coated thereon the thermosetting powder coating composition of the invention, or of articles having coated and cured thereon the thermosetting powder coating composition of the invention. The invention further relates to a method for enabling the fast heat-curing of a thermosetting powder coating composition at low temperature. The invention further relates to a method for enhancing the chemical resistance of a powder coating obtained by heat curing of the thermosetting powder coating composition of the invention at low temperature.
ULTRADURABLE COATING COMPOSITION
A coating composition includes: a polymer prepared from a reaction mixture including: a hydroxyl functional prepolymer comprising a reaction product of a prepolymer mixture and a non-aromatic anhydride. The polymer includes at least two functional groups selected from hydroxyl groups, carboxyl groups and combinations thereof. The polymer includes 10-40 weight % of structural units derived from benzoic acid or substituted benzoic acid and greater than 15 weight % of structural units derived from a polyol having at least three hydroxyl groups based on the total weight of the polymer. A substrate at least partially coated with a coating composition and a method of preparing a coating composition are also disclosed.
Composition of high temperature resistent powder coating, a preparation method therefore, and use thereof
The present invention provides for a composition of high temperature resistant powder coating which comprises at least two silicone resins having different glass transition temperatures and/or different melt viscosities, a bi-functional resin, a mica-containing filler and optional additives. When applied to a substrate, the composition is capable of curing to form a high temperature resistant coating on the substrate surface. The present invention also provides for use of the composition of the present invention to coat a substrate, as well as substrates coated with the composition of the present invention.

Methods for preparing curable solid particulate compositions
The present invention relates to curable solid particulate compositions that include: (a) a first reactant having at least two cyclic carbonate groups; and (b) a second reactant having at least two active hydrogen groups that are reactive with the cyclic carbonate groups of the first reactant. With some embodiments, the first reactant is a polyol residue having at least two cyclic carbonate groups, such as bisphenol A that has been reacted with epichlorohydrin, and in which the oxirane groups thereof have been converted to cyclic carbonate groups. The active hydrogen groups of the second reactant, with some embodiments, are each independently selected from hydroxyl groups, thiol groups, and amine groups. The curable solid particulate compositions, with some embodiments, are in the form of curable powder coating compositions.
