Supramolecular polymers derived from perylene-diimides
This invention is directed to perylene-diimide aromatic dianion compounds, process of preparation and uses thereof. The perylene-diimide aromatic dianion compounds of this invention are stable in aqueous solution and can be used for photofunctional and electron transfer systems in aqueous phase. This invention is also directed to supramolecular polymers derived from perylene-diimide compounds and mixtures thereof, and to uses thereof.

Low band gap conjugated polymeric compositions and applications thereof
In one aspect, electrically conductive conjugated polymeric compositions are described herein demonstrating compatibility with aqueous solvents and/or phases. The ability to provide aqueous compatible compositions from previously water insoluble conjugated polymeric systems, in some embodiments, can facilitate use of such systems in a variety of aqueous applications, including biological applications.

The invention relates to a security element for a security and/or valuable document, comprising a matrix based on an organic polymeric material and at least one electrically conductive pigment dispersed in the matrix and at least one organic luminescent substance dispersed in the matrix. In the presence of the conductive pigment the luminescent substance is capable of non-contact excitation of light emission where the particle size is less than 200 nm. The luminescent substance is not encapsulated and is directly surrounded by the matrix and is embedded therein. The invention also relates to uses of the security and/or valuable document and to the security and/or valuable documents produced by such uses.
Polymer serving as an electrode material for lithium secondary batteries
The present invention relates to a polymer possessing a linear backbone selected from the homopolymers belonging to the family of polyfluorenes, polycarbazoles, polyanilines, polyphenylenes, polyisothionaphthenes, polyacetylenes, polyphenylene vinylenes, and copolymers thereof, said backbone bearing at least one side group possessing at least one nitroxide function. It also relates to an electrode material, an electrode and a lithium secondary battery obtained from such a polymer.
Multi-layered structure
One aspect relates to a layered structure with a substrate, a first layer over the substrate, and a second layer over the first layer. The substrate and the second layer are an electrically conductive material and the first layer is an insulating material or the substrate and the second layer are insulating material and the first layer is electrically conductive material. At least one of the first and second layers comprises an electrically conductive polymer.
