Modified starch compositions, starch composite foam materials and method for preparing the starch composite foam material
The present disclosure provides a modified starch composition. The modified starch composition includes starch with a terminal siloxane having 100 parts by weight, water having 30-70 parts by weight, and a polyol having 5-35 parts by weight. The present disclosure also provides a starch composite foam material and method for preparing the same.
Method of manufacturing of a foam-formed cellulosic fibre material, sheet and laminated packaging material
The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a new low density foam-formed cellulose material comprising dialcohol-modified celllulose, and to bulk sheets, layers, laminates or moulded articles comprising such material. Furthermore, the invention relates to a laminated packaging material comprising a layer or sheet comprising the low density cellulose material as well as to packaging containers comprising the laminated packaging material. In particular, the invention relates to packaging containers intended for liquid or semi-liquid food packaging, comprising the laminated packaging material.

Foamed articles and methods of making the same
Foamed articles including a foamed thermoplastic elastomeric material, methods of making the foamed articles, and methods for manufacturing articles of footwear, apparel, and athletic equipment incorporating such foamed articles are provided. In one aspect, a method for making a foamed article comprises placing an article comprising a foamable material and carbon dioxide in a vessel, maintaining the vessel at a first pressure and first temperature at which the carbon dioxide is a liquid and carbon dioxide is soluble in the foamable material, optionally exposing the infused article to a second temperature and second pressure, and subjecting the article to a third pressure and third temperature at which the infused carbon dioxide phase transitions to a gas, thereby expanding the foamable material into a foamed material and forming the foamed article.

Supported elastomeric foams and processes for making same
A supported elastomeric foam (100) includes an elastomeric matrix (102) formed of an elastomer and including a reinforcement region (104) and a foamed region (106). The foamed region includes gas filled cells (108) in the elastomer, and the reinforcement region includes a porous layer (204) having an interconnected network of pores at least partially imbibed with the elastomer. The foam can include an adhesive at a surface of the foam. A compressible seal (802) including a compressible body, which can be elastomeric foam, can also include a pattern of discontinuous adhesive regions about which the compressible body can deform to form a sea. The supported elastomeric foam can form a gas tight seal in an interface when placed under minimal compression.
