HFCO-CONTAINING ISOCYANATE-REACTIVE COMPOSITIONS, POLYURETHANE FOAMS FORMED THEREFROM, AND COMPOSITE ARTICLES THAT INCLUDE SUCH FOAMS
Isocyanate-reactive compositions, rigid polyurethane foam-forming compositions, rigid polyurethane foams, and methods for their production, and composite articles having a rigid polyurethane foam sandwiched between metal facer substrates. The rigid polyurethane foams are produced from an isocyanate-reactive composition comprising: (1) a polyol blend that includes an amine-initiated polyether polyol; (2) a hydrochlorofluoroolefin (“HCFO”); and (3) a catalyst that includes an arylalkyl tertiary amine, an aryl tertiary amine, or a mixture thereof. The foam can have excellent adhesion to metal substrates.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR USE IN THE PREPARATION OF HYDROPHOBIC SURFACES
Polymer films having a surface with increased hydrophobicity or enhanced hydrophobicity or improved hydrophobicity or super-hydrophobicity; composite structures such as multilayer polymer sheets comprising the polymer films; methods and systems of making such polymer films; polymer blends from which to make such polymer films; masterbatches or masterbatch compositions useful for making such polymer blends; as well as methods and systems for making such polymer blends and such masterbatches or masterbatch compositions.
Polyol component and use thereof for the production of rigid polyurethane foams
A polyol component P) contains at least three different polyether polyols A) to C), and at least one polyether ester polyol D). A process for producing rigid polyurethane foams using the polyol component P) and the rigid polyurethane foams produced therefrom can be utilized.
TWO-PART PHOSPHATE ESTER EPOXY COMPOSITION
A two-part system comprising a first component including one or more epoxy resins or epoxy-functionalized resins and a second component including one or more phosphate esters, wherein the first component and second component are liquid at room temp and upon mixing the first component with the second component at room temperature, a composition is formed that is solid.
ULTRASOFT EVA FOAM FORMULATION AND METHODS THEREOF
A polymer composition may include at least one ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) polymer; a blowing agent in an amount ranging from 2 to 18 phr; and a crosslinking agent in an amount ranging from 0.3 to 4 phr. A method includes expanding an EVA-based polymer composition to form a foam having a density ranging from 0.01 g/cm3 to 0.06 g/cm3 and a hardness ranging from 10 to 60 Shore 00.
Preparation method for super absorbent polymer sheet
A method of preparing a superabsorbent polymer sheet by polymerization of monomers in the presence of an encapsulated foaming agent and an inorganic foaming agent is provided. According to the method of preparing the superabsorbent polymer sheet of the present invention, a porous and flexible superabsorbent polymer sheet having an excellent initial absorption rate may be prepared.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING WITH PORE-PROMOTING AGENTS
The present disclosure describes multi-fluid kits for three-dimensional printing, materials kits for three-dimensional printing, and methods of making three-dimensional printed articles. In one example, a multi-fluid kit for three-dimensional printing can include a fusing agent and a pore-promoting agent. The fusing agent can include water and a radiation absorber. The radiation absorber can absorb radiation energy and convert the radiation energy to heat. The pore-promoting agent can include water and a water-soluble pore-promoting compound. The pore-promoting compound can chemically react at an elevated temperature to generate a gas.
Thermoset porous composites and methods thereof
There is provided herein thermoset porous polymer composites a methods for producing such composites. The method comprises: preparing a mixture comprising a resin, optionally a curing agent, and dry ice; optionally casting the mixture; curing the mixture to obtain the porous composite; and optionally controlling at least one of a reaction rate and an expansion rate of the mixture during the curing.
INJECTABLE HEAT SINK
A heat sink arrangement includes a housing associated with an electronic heat source. The housing has a cavity adjacent to the heat source. A thermally conductive, electrically insulating foam heat sink is disposed in the cavity and draws heat out of the heat source. The foam heat sink may be formed of a two-part epoxy.
Activatable polymer composition comprising at least two carboxylic acids as blowing agent
The invention relates to a curable volume expandable polymer composition comprising an organic acid component, wherein the organic acid component comprises a first organic acid, a second organic acid, and optionally one or more additional organic acids; wherein said polymer composition, when being heated to an activation of expansion temperature above room temperature, undergoes volume expansion. When the organic acid component is heated to the activation of expansion temperature, the first organic acid and/or the second organic acid and/or the optionally present one or more additional organic acids decarboxylate and thus release carbon dioxide. The polymer composition traps the thus released carbon dioxide thereby causing the polymer composition to undergo volume expansion.
