POLYESTER PREPOLYMERS AS IMPACT MODIFIERS IN EPOXY FORMULATIONS
What is described is a polymer which is a polyurethane polymer having blocked isocyanate groups or a reaction product of said polyurethane polymer with at least one epoxy resin, where the polyurethane polymer having blocked isocyanate groups is an addition product formed from at least one polyisocyanate and at least one polyester polyol, wherein the isocyanate groups of the addition product have been blocked by reaction with at least one aromatic compound having at least one hydroxyl group. Such a polymer is suitable as an impact modifier in epoxy resin compositions, especially when they are used as adhesives or structural foams. The polymer improves the corrosion resistance and vertical expansion of the epoxy resin composition.

FLAME-RETARDANT COMPOSITION FOR TEXTILE SUBSTRATE
A flame-retardant composition endowed with intumescent properties which consists of an acrylic resin, a dehydrating compound, a blowing agent and, optionally, a fluorocarbon-based polymer.
HIGHLY DISPERSIBLE METALLIC ACRYLATE COMPOSITION, PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND RESIN COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME
The present invention provides a highly dispersible metallic acrylate composition containing specific content of a graphene, a flake graphite or a combination thereof as a thermally conductive powder, and thus has better stability and dispersivity, which leads to advantages of low adhesion to the metal surface and ease of mixing in resin. Moreover, the metallic acrylate composition can be applied to resin composition as an auxiliary crosslinking coagent for enhancing mechanical strength and good uniformity of cell dispersion in the foamed product, such that the foamed products can be used as architectural materials, materials of daily commodities, vehicle materials, damping and cushioning materials, packing materials, sport pad materials, or shoe materials.
FOAMED POLYOLEFIN-BASED-RESIN SHEET
The present invention provides a polyolefin resin foam sheet having an area density of 5 g/m.sup.2 or more and 400 g/m.sup.2 or less, and having a time (t) required for a weight decrease from 90% by mass to 10% by mass, of 9 minutes or more, as measured by thermogravimetric analysis carried out at a heating rate of 10° C./min and a measurement temperature of 23° C. to 550° C. According to the present invention, a polyolefin resin foam sheet can be provided that has a high fire retardancy while maintaining a lightweight property.
Heat expandable foam for low temperature cure
A thermally expandable composition, including at least one polymer, cross-linkable by peroxide, at least one peroxide, preferably at least one antioxidant, at least one chemical blowing agent, and at least one activator, wherein the activator includes at least one compound selected from formula (I), ##STR00001##
wherein radicals R.sup.1 and R.sup.4 represent hydrogen atoms or monovalent alkyl radicals with 1 to 10 carbon atoms which optionally include oxygen atoms; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 represent hydrogen atoms or monovalent alkyl radicals with 1 to 10 carbon atoms which optionally include oxygen atoms, nitrogen atoms, and/or aromatic moieties or R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 together form a divalent alkyl radical with 1 to 10 carbon atoms which optionally includes oxygen atoms, nitrogen atoms or aromatic moieties. The composition shows excellent properties in terms of expansion stability over a wide temperature range, can be expanded at temperatures below 150° C. and is suitable for baffle and/or reinforcement elements.
