IN-SITU FORMATION OF LOW DENSITY THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE FLEXIBLE FOAMS
A reactive mixture and method for making a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) flexible foam having a predominantly open-cell structure (open-cell content of ≥50% by volume calculated on the total volume of the foam and measured according to ASTM D6226-10) and an apparent density below 200 kg/m.sup.3.
POLYKETONE POWDER FOR LASER SINTERING
A semicrystalline polyketone powder useful for additive manufacturing may be made by dissolving a polyketone having differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) monomodal melt peak, at a temperature above 50° C. to below the melt temperature of the polyketone, precipitating the dissolved polyketone by cooling, addition of a nonsolvent or combination thereof. The method may be used to form polyketones having a DSC melt peak with an enthalpy greater than the starting polyketone.
Infrared attenuation agent blends
Inorganic infrared attenuation agent blends have been developed to improve the thermal insulation properties of polymeric foams such as polystyrene low density foams. The inorganic infrared attenuation agent blends can include two or more metal oxides such as silicon dioxide, manganese (IV) oxide, iron (III) oxide, magnesium oxide, bismuth (III) oxide, cobalt oxide, zirconium (IV) oxide, molybdenum (III) oxide, titanium oxide, and calcium oxide. In some preferred embodiments, the inorganic infrared attenuation agent blends can include four or more of these metal oxides.
Thermally insulated medium pipes having HFO-containing cell gas
The invention relates to a thermally insulated conduit pipe, comprising at least one medium pipe, at least one thermal insulation arranged around the medium pipe, and at least one outer jacket arranged around the thermal insulation, wherein the outer jacket possibly comprises a barrier made of plastic, and wherein the thermal insulation comprises a foam, the cell gas of which contains at least 10 vol % HFOs. Such conduit pipe has good insulating behavior, good environmental balance, and is easily producible.
Breathable sheet, laminate, and composite
The breathable sheet of the present invention is comprised of a 4-methyl-1-pentene-based polymer or a resin composition containing the 4-methyl-1-pentene-based polymer as a main component. In addition, the breathable sheet of the present invention is preferably selected from the group consisting of a net, a mesh, a non-woven fabric, a woven fabric, and a perforated sheet.
BARRIER COATING COMPOSITION FOR USE IN MANUFACTURING POLYMER FOAM PRODUCTS
A foamed polymeric insulation product comprises a polymeric foam formed from a foamable polymer composition comprising: a) a thermoplastic matrix polymer composition, and b) a blowing agent composition. A barrier coating is formed on at least one of the first major surface and the second major surface, the barrier coating being formed from a barrier coating composition comprising a dispersion of at least one polymer comprising at least one polymer selected from polyvinylidene dichloride (PVDC), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyvinyl alcohol, ethylene vinyl alcohol, polyurethane, styrene butadiene (SBR), and combinations or copolymers thereof; and a viscosity modifier.
FOAMED PLASTIC COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to a foamed plastic composition comprising at least one polymer and at least one active agent, wherein said foamed plastic composition is at least partially coated with the active agent.
PHYSICAL FOAMING PROCESS USING FOAMING PRESS
The present invention relates to a method preparing a highly functional foam by a physical foaming process (physical blowing agent-based foaming) used to prepare a midsole of a shoe, and relates to a technology that is environmentally friendly because a chemical foaming agent is not used and is capable of preparing a foam with improved physical properties at a low cost by shortening a processing time. To this end, according to the present invention, a physical foaming process of preparing a foam by using a foaming press provided with a cavity includes: an injecting step of injecting a foaming compounding resin into the cavity; a closing step of closing the cavity by using the foaming press; a gas injecting step of injecting gas into the cavity; an atmospheric pressure maintaining step of dissolving the gas in the foaming compounding resin by maintaining the inside of the cavity at a constant pressure; and a foaming step of performing foaming by opening the cavity so that the inside of the cavity is depressurized.
POLYMER FOAM PARTICLES AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF BASED ON POLYBUTYLENE TEREPHTHALATE
