CO-EXTRUSION SPC FOAM FLOORING AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A foam flooring includes a stone-plastic base material structure, which sequentially comprises, from top to bottom, a first stable layer, a foaming layer and a second stable layer. The first stable layer and the second stable layer are both sheets with a PVC resin and filler powder as main components, with 25-40 parts by mass of the PVC resin and 55-75 parts by mass of the filler powder; and the density of the SPC foam flooring is 1.4-1.6 g/cm3. The foaming layer is arranged between the two stable layers, such that the overall density of the flooring is significantly reduced and reaches 1.4-1.6 g/m3; since the foaming layer is arranged inside, the surface strength of the overall flooring is not influenced.
MOLDED ARTICLE OF POLYPROPYLENE-BASED RESIN FOAMED PARTICLE MOLDED BODY, POLYPROPYLENE-BASED RESIN FOAMED PARTICLE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A molded article of polypropylene-based resin expanded beads, obtained by in-mold molding of the polypropylene-based resin expanded beads, each bead including: a core layer, in a foamed state, having a polypropylene-based resin; and a covering layer, which covers the core layer, having a polyethylene-based resin. A molded article magnification X [times] of the molded article is 55 times to 90 times, a value of a product X.Math.σ.sub.50 of a 50% compressive stress σ.sub.50 [kPa] and the molded article magnification X is 6500 or more, and a 5% compressive stress σ.sub.5 of the expanded beads molded article is 5 kPa to 25 kPa.
BIODEGRADABLE COMPOSITIONS AND ARTICLES MADE FROM CELLULOSE ACETATE
A foamable composition comprising at least one cellulose acetate, a plasticizer, a nucleating agent, and either a chemical blowing agent or a physical blowing agent is disclosed. The composition is formed into foamed articles that are biodegradable.
Method of Preparing Superabsorbent Polymer
Provided is a method of preparing a superabsorbent polymer, which enables preparation of the superabsorbent polymer exhibiting an improved absorption rate while maintaining excellent absorption performances by minimizing a surface damage phenomenon of the superabsorbent polymer in a pneumatic conveying process during the preparation process of the superabsorbent polymer or in a pneumatic conveying process of the finally prepared superabsorbent polymer.
Recyclable, Biodegradable, and Industrially Compostable Extruded Foams, and Methods of Manufacturing the Same
A process for producing a flexible foam includes introducing a masterbatch material into an extruder, the masterbatch material consisting essentially of one or more thermoplastic polymers that are recycled, recyclable, biodegradable, and/or compostable, mixing an inert gas with the masterbatch material, extruding the masterbatch material through the extruder to form a polymer melt, passing the polymer melt through a die to form an extrudate, and allowing the extrudate to expand into a foam.
METHOD AND SYSTEMS FOR IMPROVING DAMAGE STABILITY OF A SHIP
A foamable composition for injecting in a region of a ship, for example to prevent and/or reduce water ingress and/or progressive flooding in the ship so as to improve damage stability of the ship, is foamable to form a foam and is dissolvable in a removal composition. The provision of a foam, which can be dissolved by application of a removal composition, e.g., a solvent, may improve ease of removal of the foam, and therefore may reduce the cost and/or speed of reinstatement of the ship. The present invention also relates to a method of improving damage stability of a ship, the method comprising identifying one or more regions of the ship where injection of a material may lead to increase in ship stability, the material being impermeable to water and/or being capable of preventing migration of water.
BLOWING AGENTS IN POLYMER FOAM PROCESSING SYSTEMS
Methods and systems that include introducing blowing agent into a hopper of a polymeric foam processing system.
Silane Crosslinked Ethylene/a-Olefin Block Copolymer Bead Foam
The present disclosure provides a process. The process includes (i) crosslinking pellets composed of a silane-grafted ethylene/α-olefin multi-block copolymer (Si-g-OBC) to a gel content from 10% to 80% to form crosslinked Si-g-OBC pellets; and (ii) foaming the crosslinked Si-g-OBC pellets to form crosslinked Si-g-OBC foam beads having a gel content from 10% to 80%.
BLOWING AGENT COMPOSITIONS FOR INSULATING FOAMS
Disclosed is a blowing agent composition comprising a hydrofluoroolefins (HFO) and a branched hydrocarbon, and a foamable polymer composition comprising the blowing agent composition. Also disclosed is a method of making a polymer foam utilizing a blowing agent composition comprising an HFO and a branched hydrocarbon.
FOAMED SHEET, MANUFACTURE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FOAMED SHEET
A foamed sheet includes an aliphatic polyester resin and a filler. A degree of hydrophohization of the filler is 50% by mass or more, and a pH of the filler is 6.5 or lower. A manufacture includes the foamed sheet and a method can be used for producing the foamed sheet.
