Crosslinked polyolefin resin foam, adhesive tape, layered body, molding, and display member
A cross-linked polyolefin resin foam of the present invention has a total light transmittance and a thickness that satisfy a predetermined condition, and has a reflection color difference * of 10 to 16, a reflection color difference a* of 3 to 3, and a reflection color difference L* of 50 or more. According to the present invention, there can be provided a cross-linked polyolefin resin foam that can suppress a change in color tone of transmitted light while ensuring transparency, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, layered product, formed product, and display member that include such a cross-linked polyolefin resin foam.
FOAM COMPOSITION INCLUDING SILICONE MQ RESINS AND RELATED ARTICLES AND PROCESSES
A foam composition includes a vehicle having voids therein and a silicone MQ resin. The vehicle comprises at least one of an organic, non-silicone containing polymer or an organic monomer. The foam composition comprises not more than 50 percent by weight water. Articles including the foam composition and processes for making the foam composition and articles are also described.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FLEXIBLE SEALANT WITH DENSITY MODIFIER
In certain embodiments, the disclosed sealant comprises a one-component, closed-cell, semi-foam, sealant using gas-filled, flexible, organic microspheres to create a product that is elastic and compressible under pressure without protruding in an outward direction when compressed, thereby allowing the applied sealant to compress in an enclosed, maximum-filled channel unlike typical mastic sealants (while retaining the ability to rebound). This allows the sealant to function as a gasket, and, once fully cured, to have properties including vibration damping, insulating, and condensation resistance. The sealant can be formulated as an air barrier or a vapor barrier and at various degrees of moisture resistance. It may be applied by different packaging variations including aerosol can (bag in can or bag on valve), airless sprayer, cartridge tubes, foil tubes, squeeze tubes, and buckets to be applied using a brush, trowel, spatula, etc. The disclosed sealant can also be formulated to be smoke-resistant and flame-resistant.
Two-component foamable silane-modified polymer composition
The invention relates to a two-component foamable silane-modified polymer composition exhibiting permanent tackiness comprising: component A comprising (a-1) at least one silane modified polymer comprising polypropylene glycol repeating units, and (a-2) at least one chemical blowing agent selected from the group consisting of alkali metal bicarbonate, alkali metal carbonate, ammonium bicarbonate and ammonium carbonate, and component B comprising (b-1) water, and (b-2) an organic acid selected from the group consisting of acids comprising a C.sub.6-C.sub.18 aryl group, an aralkyl group, dicarboxylic acids, and tricarboxylic acids, wherein component A and/or component B comprises at least one surface treated calcium carbonate; methods of preparing a silane-modified polymer foam attached to a part of assembly in situ and to a silane-modified polymer foam obtained by the method, as well as a gasket, sealant or adhesive comprising a two-component foamable silane-modified polymer composition or said silane-modified polymer foam.
Microporous dry adhesive films, methods of making, and methods of use
Provided herein are materials, methods of making materials, and methods of use, wherein the materials have switchable adhesive properties. Materials of the present disclosure can reversibly change coloration in conjunction with the changing adhesive state. The films, made from a porous polymer material, can be reversibly changed from a smooth state to a rough state, allowing for reversible and tunable gripping and/or adhesive properties.
