Method for producing thermoplastic resin composition and thermoplastic resin composition
It becomes possible to produce a thermoplastic resin composition having a sea-island structure by a kneading step of kneading a thermoplastic elastomer and/or rubber material having an alkoxysilyl group, in which the alkoxysilyl group is grafted to the thermoplastic elastomer and/or rubber material, and a thermoplastic resin in a melt state in a kneading machine and a dynamic crosslinking step of adding a water component into the kneading machine, forming a silanol group by a hydrolysis reaction of the alkoxysilyl group in the thermoplastic elastomer and/or rubber material having an alkoxysilyl group and the water component in the kneading machine, and subsequently forming a siloxane bond by a condensation reaction between the silanol groups.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR MAKING ELASTOMERIC LAMINATES WITH ELASTIC STRANDS
The present disclosure relates to methods for making elastomeric laminates that may be used as components of absorbent articles. In particular, discrete mechanical bonds are applied to a first substrate and a second substrate to secure elastic strands therebetween, wherein the discrete bonds are arranged intermittently along the machine direction. During the bonding process, heat and pressure are applied to the first substrate and the second substrate such that malleable materials of the first and second substrates deform to completely surround an outer perimeter of a discrete length of the stretched elastic strand. After removing the heat and pressure from the first and second substrates, the malleable materials harden to define a bond conforming with a cross sectional shape defined by the outer perimeter of the stretched elastic strand.
Olefinic thermoplastic elastomer foamed particles
The present invention relates to thermoplastic olefin elastomer expanded beads, having an average aspect ratio of 1.10 or less and an average circularity of 0.985 or more. The thermoplastic olefin elastomer expanded beads preferably have a crystal structure such that a melting peak inherent in the thermoplastic olefin elastomer (inherent peak) and one or more melting peaks on a higher temperature side than the inherent peak (high temperature peaks) appear on a DSC curve obtained when heating the expanded beads from 23° C. to 200° C. at a heating rate of 10° C./min.

Method for producing particle foams based on thermoplastic elastomers, by thermal bonding using microwaves
A method for producing bead foams from foam beads based on thermoplastic elastomers, especially thermoplastic polyurethane, comprises foam beads being wetted with a polar liquid and joined together thermally in a mold via high-frequency electromagnetic radiation, especially microwave radiation, and also the bead foams obtainable therefrom.
METHODS OF MANUFACTURING ARTICLES UTILIZING FOAM PARTICLES
Methods for manufacturing articles, including articles of footwear, apparel, and sporting equipment are provided. The methods comprise decorating a plurality of foam particles. The decorating can comprise applying a coating on the foam particles, or embossing or debossing the foam particles, or both. The decorating can comprise applying a coating on the foam particles by printing, painting, dyeing, applying a film, or any combination thereof. The plurality of foam particles are affixed utilizing aspects of additive manufacturing methods. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
ARTICLES AND METHODS OF MAKING ARTICLES INCLUDING A COATING
The present disclosure is directed to articles that include a cured coating that includes a matrix of crosslinked polymers and optionally a colorant (e.g., pigment particles or dye or both). The cured coating can include a matrix of crosslinked polymers. The cured coating is a product of crosslinking a coating composition comprising uncrosslinked polymers (e.g., a dispersion of uncrosslinked polymers in a carrier to form the matrix of crosslinked polymers), wherein the uncrosslinked polymers are crosslinked to form the matrix of crosslinked polymers. The matrix of crosslinked polymers can be elastomeric. The present disclosure is also directed to articles including these bladders, methods of forming these bladders, and methods of making articles including these bladders, where the bladders include the cured coating.
