Melt-processed material with high cellulose fiber content
The present invention relates to a product comprising cellulose fibers wherein the cellulose fibers are at least partly modified to contain dialcohol cellulose and a melt-processing method of preparing the same.
Fine cellulose fiber dispersion liquid and manufacturing method thereof, cellulose film and laminate body
Disclosed is a dispersion liquid containing fine cellulose fiber capable of uniform dispersion in an organic solution or resin and capable of use in electronic components. Further disclosed are a laminate body and a cellulose film obtained from fine cellulose fibers with improved water resistance. Further disclosed are a fine cellulose fiber dispersion liquid which forms a film as an undercoat of a base material, in particular of a base material made from naturally occurring materials such as polylactic acid, wherein said film has an improved adhesiveness with respect to said base material; and a laminate body using the same. The fine cellulose fiber dispersion liquid contains at least fine cellulose fibers, and either an ammonia or an organic alkali.
Wavelength-controllable cellulose iridescent film and method for preparation thereof
The present invention belongs to the technical field of functional film materials; disclosed are a wavelength-controllable cellulose iridescent film and a method for preparation thereof. The method is: (1) mixing well a cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) suspension with lactic acid solution and glucose solution to obtain a CNC/lactic acid/glucose mixed solution; said CNC suspension being a cellulose nanocrystal suspension; (2) drying the CNC/lactic acid/glucose mixed solution to form a film to obtain a cellulose iridescent film. The method of the present invention is simple and low in cost. In the present invention, by means of the addition of lactic acid and glucose, the prepared film has iridescent film characteristics; the wavelength of the iridescent film is within the range of visible light, and the wavelengths of different colors of iridescent film are controllable.
Method for manufacturing a film comprising highly refined cellulose fibers
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a film comprising highly refined cellulose fibers in a paper-making machine, the method comprising the steps of: a) providing an aqueous pulp suspension comprising at least 20% by dry weight of highly refined cellulose fibers having an SR (Schopper-Riegier) value in the range of 80-100 at a consistency in the range of 0.8-3 wt % and; b) deflocculating and diluting the aqueous pulp suspension to a lower consistency in the range of 0.1-1.5 wt % by injecting the aqueous pulp suspension into an aqueous stream using a high shear mixer to obtain a diluted aqueous pulp suspension; and c) feeding the diluted aqueous pulp suspension to a headbox of the paper-making machine.
WATER-DISSOLVABLE FILM INCLUDING CELLULOSE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Disclosed is a water-dissolvable film including cellulose according to various embodiments of the present invention for achieving the above-described tasks. The water-dissolvable film may be characterized by including pullulan, carboxymethyl cellulose, and cellulose.
Aqueous resin composition and use as binder in fibre-based products
The invention relates to an aqueous resin composition and a method for the manufacture of an aqueous resin composition which resin is a reaction product of an oxidised polysaccharide and a crosslinking agent, which oxidised polysaccharide is an oxidised cellulose comprising aldehyde groups, which crosslinking agent comprises two or more groups reactive with the aldehyde groups, wherein the aldehyde groups in the resin in the aqueous resin composition are in hydrated or un-hydrated form and are at least partly converted to inter- or intramolecular hemiacetals, wherein the resin is dispersed and/or dissolved but not gelled. The invention also relates to the use of this composition for a binder in inorganic fibres products.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR REMOVAL OF NEGATIVELY CHARGED IMPURITIES USING METAL-CELLULOSE FIBER COMPOSITE
The present disclosure provides cellulose/metal composites and their use in removing impurities from liquids, including water. Carboxylated nanocelluloses are combined with metal ions and the resulting composite may be contacted with a liquid, including water, to remove impurities therefrom.
CELLULOSE NANOFIBER, AND AQUEOUS DISPERSION COMPOSITION CONTAINING SAME
A cellulose nanofiber capable of suppressing the emergence of a viscous consistency and exhibiting excellent physical properties in applications for foaming membranes such as membranes of paints, films, and the like, and an aqueous dispersion composition containing the cellulose nanofiber. The cellulose nanofiber has (A) an amount of carboxyl groups in a range of 0.8 to 1.10 mmol/g relative to a bone dry mass of the cellulose nanofiber, and (B) an aspect ratio of 20 or more and less than 50.
